My work ute, a Mazusu BT50 has not once has informed me of anything to do with the DPF in 50000ks. But my Hilux is letting me know rather frequently about DPF regeneration and it's not as good as having minutes remaining but it does have a bar that counts down. Also has an old school digital clock in the dash!

Hi mate the relevant technology to tune your 1HDFTE is a DPCHIP-X Its a remote tune... in a sense... because we can send it out you pre programmed for that engine wherever you are. Hi! Is there anything you can do to tune a non-commonrail Diesel remotely? In my case LC 100 / 2006 / 1HD-FTE. It has an Adonis chip from the previous owner, but smokes a little in the highest setting. Best regards from the other side of the globe (Denmark). Jan

I've got a hzj79 series with only 200,000 on the clock. I'm not really interested in putting a turbo on it , as I'm a patient man 😂 I'm just curious to know if you recommend putting a egt gage on a na 1hz or do you think it's a waste of money? I'm unsure if I'm pushing it too far, or I could be doing potential damage, or I'm just overthinking it
Hi free thinkers, own 1997 Toyota HZJ diesel, the Toyota original fuel filter canister $75 is about 40 mm longer, on inspection the internal filter is same size as after market $25? Maybe you can explain the filter micron size.
The Land Cruiser 200 V8 diesel 4.5 litre... is equivalent to 2x 2.2 litre engine per bank of 4 cylinders so when you have a look at the size of the two cats and one DPF per bank we don't see any restriction. (thats 4 cats and 2 DPFs
i have a '99 hdj100 and it is making a noise more like a vibration noise coming from the fuel pump area i don't know if this would fix it but i will give it a try.
@@BerrimaDiesel i checked the fuel lines but on the 100 are different and i noticed it already has that sort of "filter" i think the noise is really coming from the pump but it is hard to say because i cannot feel any vibration, maybe it is an injector? I will continue my search in the next days
Good air filtration when the housing and filter are way oversize works well in all conditions . The Toyota unit lets dust thru good setups donot . Toyota fails the finger test . Why because the housings flex and filter dirt capacity is small causing the housing to flex also . Cheap tractor plant / machinery often has the same issues .
