IMHO: NOW, I SEE THAT IT'S ALL OF THE DEADLY/HARMFUL "EXCITOTOXINS", THAT ARE ADDED INTO ALMOST ALL "PROCESSED FOODS", (ALSO, PET FOODS), THAT IS CAUSING MOST OF OUR MODERN "HEALTH PROBLEMS"!!!!!!!
It sounds like there are zero drugs to help with hypoglycemia. I know that some companies are working on long-acting glucagon (mostly being added to GLP-1). I have to wonder if this would help with hypoglycemia.
Love the discussion on low-carb diets. I have interacted with 4 different obesity doctor, and two of them actively promoted a low-carb diet. I feel like there could be a whole episode on low-carb diets.
Cancel her license. She is only encouraging people to stay irresponsible about their obesity. As a skinny person myself has gained weight to the point I became fat and then I cut it smartly and worked on building muscles along the way. These doctors are the problem with this world.
If you are recently diagnosed with type-2 diabetes and overweight/obese, losing at least 10% of your weight has been shown to result in remission in 50% of patients.
Disappointed that there was no mention that type-2 diabetics have lost 50% of the insulin (and amylin) producing beta cells in the pancreas. Reducing the volume of your body helps the remaining cells better regulate your blood glucose, but cannot fix the problem.
Metabolic Surgery in 2022. Did less of a bypass 100 cm vs 150 cm. I have 40 lbs left to lose and am doing a low level of mounjaro to balance the remaining desired loss. Type 2 diabetic prior to surgery. Technically I still carry this diagnosis.
I wonder what the "alternative energy source that fat turns into" could be? You just won't take about ketones will you? Not unless you're bashing ketosis. Curious.
I've been fasting 23 hours a day for a year and a half with whole food keto. I trail run mountains in Az and I'm off blood pressure meds. My body fat is as low as it's been since highschool 30 years ago. These people want you on medication.
If this showed up in your feed, turn it off and search Jason Fung, Pradip Jamnadis, Ken Berry, Calley Means, Bret Sher, etc. Do not listen to this. They are running defense for Pharmaceutical companies and processed food makers.
I read Jason Fungs book and reversed a lot of health problems I had (2 years ago), thanks to intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has been a game changer for me, and I’m not going back to eating more frequently.
Whether correct or not, you guys don’t sound very convincing. You haven’t explained the science behind why intermittent fasting doesn’t work - mocking is your main approach. While numerous other doctors provide better explanations supporting it.
very interesting! Thank You! May I ask why the patient changed her drug over the time? from Saxena, Trulicity, Ozempic to Mounjaro? Was there an effect that the meds didn't work anymore after some time?🙏
The maximum dose for Ozempic (diabetes indication) is 2.0 mg. The maximum dose for Wegovy (obesity indication) is 2.4 mg. The pen for Ozempic is adjustable dose and multi-use. The pens for Wegovy are single use.
I love how she says "like 95-99% of our patients have been on a low carb{fad} diet". If you listen to ppl who pull 'mathematical' data from their ass like this then you are being fooled. Talk about fabricating data and telling half truths... It's been 3 years for me since i started keto/FAD lifestyle and I've lost 80 lbs(first 6 months). and have come off all medications(I was on 6). I do occasionally go on a 'carb cycle' now that I'm at an ideal weight. It's takes a lot of work and discipline in a society who's most successful business model is ADDICTION, but it is totally possible/sustainable. All these people have been trained to do is to sell you pharma chemicals and to not speak of/address your addiction to other corporate products/foods so they can $$$$$$$$$$$$$
The idea that being overweight does not make you a bad person, that you don't have to feel shame, that your metabolism isn't "bad" or "good" was a huge relief. The emotional toll of years of dieting, gaining, dieting is devastating. I'm also a patient of Dr. Cooper and understanding the science of what makes me fat has been mentally liberating. Thank you for making this information available to others who are struggling. Look forward to following this podcast and learning more.
