Thanks Don. I sticked to your advice and kept my 360 and very much still enjoy it. To this day. I understand the new console isn't for everyone. Hope everything turned out great for you and future Xbox consoles.
The Brand still hasn't recovered from his decision. And this ladys and gentlemen is why CEOs get paid so much. Because they create or destroy insane amounts of money with their decisions.
Did Don seriously think that the xbox 360 was going to instantly shut down the minute the xbox one dropped?? Did he forget that some of the biggest games in history came out like Halo 2 and 3 that HAD ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?? He really thought that the Xbox One was the first console ever in history to have internet.
Don Matrick did a pretty weak job of handling the Xbox platform*. But then again, why do the new Xbox Velocity consoles not support Kinect? They advertise that all Xbox One games would be back-compat, right? *that was an edit
@@norris5754 Well Steam and Xbox both have an offline mode don't they? You can still play offline on Xbox Series but you have to open the game once while connected, before you set the offline mode. Same thing on Steam I believe.
Clearly someone was trolling because no actual person on a submarine would mention that they were on a sub just for a console, online OR offline when SHOCKER they likely couldn't play the THREE SIXTY on...uh...in...a SUB!
Don Mattrick for Xbox and Jim Ryan for PlayStation are arguably the most anti-consumer CEOs the gaming industry has ever seen. Both Mattrick and Ryan had one thing in common: pushing to create a gaming future where gaming is an internet service on the cloud laced with DRM, microtransactions, etc. because they loved quick cash grabs more than their userbase
