I am currently building a HIC can I ask where did you get the formed pockets and what did you use for the round greeblies on the end pockets it looks amazing!! I must have
For the long, center pockets, I actually used ice bins from Walmart, these.......www.walmart.com/ip/White-Ice-Cube-Bin-Holds-4-Full-Trays-Of-Loose-Cubes-Only-One/680172418?from=searchResults. For the end pockets, I custom designed those boxes and printed them on my 3D printer. The round greeblies inside the pockets are plastic insulated bushing conduit fittings from Lowes, with an axle nut in the center. Hope that helps!
Nice! How did you do the hinge on the gauntlets? I am looking for suggestions. :) Also what mannequin system are you using to display it. It looks perfect for it.
I actually used rare earth magnets, the long ones, two on each side of the gauntlet. I epoxied those in place, and it holds securely. I'll have to post a pic. For the mannequin, I use this one for many of my projects..........www.ebay.com/itm/254314158451
I do all the printing, assembly, and painting myself. Some of the parts, like the boots, jumpsuit, jetpack......I source from other builders. But the jetpack comes in raw form, so I have to build and paint that as well.
It looks like you repurposed customized one of those LED lanterns you could get for about $8 or so or maybe down to like six but probably more after the materials you had to use to take it apart and install other components to turn it into this little storage chamber which is totally Epic I never even considered something like this before my start of Star Wars fandom for the last 10 maybe 15 years give or take
Thanks! Yes, it's a Harbor Freight LED Lantern! You can check out more info here, I posted a little more about the build. www.therpf.com/forums/threads/savi%E2%80%99s-workshop-kyber-crystal-container.340261
Thanks! Yes, this is something I've had in my head for a very long time and really wanted to bring to life. Once I get all the LEDs wired, it'll look great.
