after 39 yrs in the northwest, I moved out of sisters ( outside of bend) 14 years ago. thank god. it's poverty with a view unless you have a ton of cash and its goofball liberal as well. move to eastern idaho or montana. i'm in ohio now and much happier. if i move again, it will be the dakotas. good luck.

How SAFE Is Bend, Oregon from wildlife such as bear, serpent, scorpion, insect and coyote on a daily basis ❓ I mean not in outskirts but residential neighborhood and town areas

😂😅 Is this parody? Oregon sucks. Very high income tax and property tax. Homeless are everywhere. Summer smoke from wildfires. Bend is beyond freezing in winter!
I agree Texas weather sucks and the flatness and brown water lakes and rivers never appealed to me. But...As long as you really do not care for faith and the Bill of rights (especially 2A) and you loves taxes, socialist government tyranny, taxation, DEI, and regulation, then Oregon is a progressive Marxist paradise for you! Idaho has all Bend has but so much more as part of real America.
Lived in Bend for 6 years, it's beautiful and cold in the winters. I'd rather endure 4 months of heat in Phoenix outskirts area, which I am now, than 6 months of extreme cold weather. Also, if you love Sanctuary cities, you'll love Bend. Politics in Oregon suck. And, like mentioned below, property taxes are way high. Also, not 2A friendly.

lived in both places Joshua. love Central Oregon. However, two comments: you might have overlooked the summer SMOKE (every summer the last 5+ years) and, if you're a geezer, the rapacious estate tax.
I agree with you 100 percent. Central Oregon definitely has its downsides also. As far as estate Tax a trust can mitigate this to a point. I honestly believe all places have plus and minus but for me, Bend has more pluses than negatives. And after all I don’t live in Texas and am not promoting living there!!! However if you are moving to Texas I have connections with some of the best agents in the State!! Oh and if you want a connection in Bend for an amazing trust attorney I got you covered!! There is some long time locals that dislike Californians moving here, but there is also a great many people that live here that have no issues. Truth is the influx of money brought from out of state has made a huge difference to this area. We would still be a tiny mountain town with it the tourism and people coming here. I have helped dozens of people relocate here from California and I think all of them would say the same thing, Bend is a great place to live no matter where you come from. Doubtful as so many Californians have moved there over the decades. The political atmosphere is liberal with "lefty" thrown in. Most people know to garage their cars, if possible, until they get their Oregon plates.
In all honesty, with the influx of people from all over the country Bend has become a lot more diverse. And in my 20 years here I have never experienced racism. I am also of Hispanic heritage. Thank you for the question and watching our channel.
It’s the area, general rule thumb, if it’s on the river it’s a bucket of money!! A lot of these homes are already historic homes so that adds to the value. But we have more affordable homes in a lot of places. Thanks for watching
@@lifestyleinbendoregon That home doesn't seem very historic to me.. Bend doesn't seem like a great place to live.. All that Californian money come in, but for what really.. seems like you can get the same basic thing in other parts of the country.. There are lots of rivers and lakes haha..
