Whenever I get d1, I try ducking after because typically they usually throw afterwards but I get caught with a high attack. That happens a few times, but why that is? Am I getting jailed?
@angelsilva7207 if you hold down after they do a high attack you have look out for there second hit which is usually a mid I will make a follow up video for you so stay on the lookout.
@@maskoftiers77788 nah, like, if Peacemaker or OM d1 and do their strings that begin in a high, I’m able to duck and punish them with a full combo. But let’s say Johnny d1, then starts his 21 combo, he catches me with the high even though I’m holding down after d1
@angelsilva7207 I think I know exactly what your talking about doing a video tonight in the form of a livestream you can watch after it's done in during but I think I might have an idea if what's going on.
Plot twist I figured out why there here it's because most of the characters had been leaked plus fatal fury has another game coming out so they wanted some of the Street Fighter audience a bit of a two in one kinda deal.
The Writer's who be writing the story for street fighter don't understand death, just like the writer's for dragon ball z ,i swear they be copying notes from one another is class.
@@maskoftiers77788 or they could not focus on a story and put whatever characters the fans want in the game, because if am not mistaken they are in the business of making money and solid gameplay not movies .
Thank you man, your guide actually helped me, every other guide I watched didn't work or they didn't explain it properly, but thanks to your guide, I finally know how to install mods for this game
Surprised to see Rain so low, I'd for sure put him a lot higher than some characters in your top tier. Also Sub gets downplayed too much nowadays, feel like he's def better than a lot make him out to be, when you play him correctly. Also Quan of course at time of writing is way higher, close to top tier. Overall solid list though
A lot respect for this man great video. I just picked up Liu Kang because i was maining reiko and shao since launch but theyre busted. Looks like i gotta find another main lol.
I haven't tried myself but I linked the article down below they detail how to do it in the article hope this helps. It says you have to link your warner bros account first to enable crossplay the rest of the instructions are in the article.
Legitimately hard to play but safe on block cancels and a full screen fireball on the ground and air without kameo and a unreatacble mid I actually love shang but he can be a bit overwhelming once you learn the morph combos.
@@maskoftiers77788 What do you mean unreactable his mid is 13 frames? Shang is no where near carry you can’t just pick up shang and get easy wins there’s a reason he’s the least used character in the game
@@Shado1932 if you are attempting to react to shang mix on his strings because of his 13f frame mid that goes into a full string can launch off hitconfirm and be chained into copycat move that safely converts into a copycat combo without kameo with only one bar and can lead to 40+ damage. I think you mis understand the carried tier is more of a tier placement for characters that can function without a kameo and still be good in most situations. Shang isn't easy however the fact that he has the ability to copy his opponent allows him to change his tier placement at a moments notice.
@@maskoftiers77788 I hear you but as a shang main he absolutely needs a kameo. 1.His mid is only good in old form 2. He has no real mix besides a 5 percent slow overhead in his young form 3. You can only really convert the mid into a copycat combo with frost or sub who arent that good of kameos for him. Dont get me wrong hes a good character but hes only good when you have a kameo ready hes just not in the same tier of carry as johnny, ashrah, liu kang
@@Shado1932 i could be wrong on that i mainly put him in the carried category due to his ability to use copycat but I luke the points you brought up i will concede that he is not in the same level as the others. Thanks for your input
The kara cancel with rain isnt enough especially when hes a setup/zoning character in a game where everyone has anti zoning specials. ALL of his strings have easy gaps. With the exception to geysers all his specials are slow and fundamentally don't work as intended (portal, waterball, straight projectile). Hes carried by kameos like stryker and kano at the highest level.
no cap he is definitely s with stryker and back before the cyrax nerf i would have had him in the top 10 but yes he is very dependant on having a good ambush character.
I dont disagree with your statement however I put him in the easy work category because his game plan revolves around primarily zoning which although he is one of the most powerful zoners in the game once you get in his face he doesn't have very much at all for you to stop the opponent from getting in. Because if you check his frame data a lot of his pokes like his down 1 for example are 8 frames startup where the average character is 7 or even 6 frames which leaves him having to play defense.
i main sub zero and you are right. the trick too playing with him is having a good cameo that way you can actually hit that back 2 too start ya combo. i usually run serena and frost with sub zero. serena R1 back is a perfect set up for the back 2 geras is my other main btw
I like the video overall! Concise explanation of the physics behind backdash and backdash block canceling. I wanted to turn it into a vs Johnny primer but then I realized thats not the video title! If you did a follow up video regarding that, thatd be moneyyy. Since he has more options than just 212 of course.
I imagine you wouldn't be able to because Johnny cages shadow kick has 3 active frames last time I labbed it and if you stand up to soon you will get hit anyway. I would recommend either blocking your safest bet. Or keeping your distance and using armor to counter Johnnys normals plus ice clone is 9 frame startup so yeah I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Appreciate it thats the point of these vids is starting simple and working out way to more difficult concepts later. I'm working on dropping some more vids later particularly matchup related but I have start small first.
That d be interesting a tuto abt backdashing on hit/block according if your opponent is poking or not.. because i understand frames data.. but i m not sure i m using wave-dash correctly at neutral
