What was the first song? I want to gind it! I actually think the video editor did a good job of matching it to the dance. It was beautiful. Would've been cool to see the original too.
This really wasn't natural... I don't know, very blocky and forced. They're certainly a hundred times better than this. And that music...was quite strange, probably the source of all that strangeness.
+viewer087 He is actually supposed to be the best in the world in this dance. He isn't a young man now. Surprised he wasn't dancing with his wife. He has won lots of competitions.
+viewer087 actually I've danced with Robert many times and he is the EASIEST leader to follow... ask any follow ... even total newbies ... they will tell you that you do things you never knew you could do because he's so clear in his pre-leads. I've danced with people who "look" smooth who are HORRID to follow ... one of the reasons Robert wins so much is the fact that he truly makes the follows job easy to look (and feel) good.... :)
+Veronica Daze This is a Jack and Jill which means the leads and follows are randomly paired... which is the reason he was not dancing with Nicola here :)
+Product Reviews by Pam // Its a personal preference Pam, not a criticism on his dance abilities. I compete in International Ballroom and yes, some who look smooth are not good leaders, but that is not easily known or seen by a spectator, yet some who look smooth are excellent leaders. A personal preference is just that, a preference choice regarding his style, not to his expertise or accomplishments. There is always differences between styles at that level. The same applies to Ballroom and Latin dancing. In comparison, I prefer the style of Arjay Centeno who also competed with Torri Smith in past competitions. :)
+Health Nut Shows you don't know much about the dancers. This man is considered the worlds best west coast swing dancer. I believe he teaches as well. He has been around a long time. I too think Jordan is one of the best, Robert has a little old style hustle left in him, but so do many of us (I'm 71), but there are hundreds if not thousands of great WCS dancers that never compete; but one of the standing rules in the Atlanta WCS & Ballroom Communities is manners. We are ladies and gentlemen and treat each other as such. I know your vocabulary includes words that could convey your opinion without resorting to gutter trash mouth! And I hope you have better days ahead than the one you were having when you wrote that tirade :-)
Fair points all, Don, but that "Veronica Daze" has earned my ire due to the imbecility of her posts. But I agree - THE INTERNET IS NO PLACE TO BE CRASS!!! I doff my chapeau to you by way of remonstrance...
+Laurine DeLamater As a WCS dancer it is even more weird - not because of the dancers - who with swing(able) music would be fabulous - simply the wrong music for the movement inherent to WCS. It looks painfully forced.
