Do you want me to make a link of your favorite clip, highlight or sound effect? Send me an email and I'll add it to the list.
I'm still exploring and learning how to edit videos, mix audio and upscaling video. I'm looking for projects to work on and learn from, so please contact me if you have something you've want made.
3:53 That's not acting, that's just Travis lol. Look at his face, he's like, oh my friend is so talented, oh wow, I gotta process this Fjord's learning from Caduceus.
I love Travis’ appreciation of the turnaround of “I’m a really good liar”. Dude is able to be completely in the rp, remove it entirely from any personal stakes and just enjoy watching his friend perform this scene masterfully
Just getting back into D and D and tabletop gaming after a twenty-year hiatus and started seeing mentions of the bard's lament and had to look it up. Gotta say, even without any context of any of the characters this was deep. Hats off to Sam for bringing something so raw to his roleplaying and forcing the rest to react in a similar fashion. And the guy who plays grog asking his mothers name after like twenty minutes of pure dysfunction damn near made me cry. Gonna have to watch all their sessions now.
I got close to replicating this sound once during a game (not the same, but a huge beast doing the trill thingy). Everyone digged it, but I haven't been able to do it again for some reason.
I never liked how everyone felt like they had to yell and lecture Scanlan. They obviously didn’t understand how they fucked up and their reaction to it just gives me the ick 😢 I don’t understand when people respond to sadness with anger
I think that's what makes this moment so great though. It feels real because the players react impulsively and unfairly as the characters would. It makes it feel more real and impactful.
I started with C3, and went backwards, and I have to say that C1 has the best and most memorable moments. C2 and C3 certainly has some cool moments, but I find myself rewatching eps and scenes from C1 the most.
Campaign one has a special place in my heart because it was my first Actual Play to watch and at the same time I was introduced to and learning about D&D. Campaign 2 I watched the beginning but then stopped watching cuz i found one of the characters annoying but then got back into because I was told it gets good and the rest of it I enjoyed. Campaign 3...sorry to say but not vibing with as much.
@@hollowspawn9675 Agreed. I stopped at e65 of C3 and have not gone back. I was just not vibing with Hell's Bells, and friends, personal stakes in the story. Their mindsets are either: "f the gods," or "the bad guys might end the world so we might as well try to save it." Compare that to Vecna, Briarwoods, The Chroma Conclave of C1, Trent Ikithon and Lucien of C2, and it's night and day.
@OneKastelanRobot good question. You're saying that reducing a polymorphed creature to 0 hit points doesn't kill it, but just causes it to revert to its original form? With whatever hit points it had before the polymorph?
@@AkelaTalamasca I looked it up. The PHB said if you run out of time(1+CON mod) and cannot breathe you go to 0 hp on the start of your next turn(and cannot regain hit points until you are able to breathe again. So in my mind, it would start drowning, go to 0hp, revert to its original form, which can breathe underwater and therefore regain the hit points it had before being Polymorphed. Otherwise, a successful Polymorph can kill even Orcus.
@@OneKastelanRobot Oh, these rules! Thank you for the knowledge. Regardless, I'm still surprised that wasn't considered, as I don't imagine anyone but Matt understood everything you just said. At least they could have tried a sea creature that couldn't keep up with the boat, like a tiny mollusc or something!
I usually love percys roleplay but all be did at that point was insult scanlan and his daughter, which very much ignored his character growth since finding out about kaylee, which kinda proved scanlans point that he's just a funny man to them and they don't know him beyond surface level or what he was in the early eps
Facts and it wouldn't have happened had Liam not been like "wait a minute i want to role play fish and chips. Back it up!" It truly is an amazing scene
I don’t even watch this show, why am I openly sobbing right now 😂 Seriously tho, Sam is an amazing actor and player and this has straight up convinced me to finally give Critical Role a try💜
Never noticed Laura's eyes go wide a moment as Matt makes the noise. Like in all the time she's known him, she's still shocked he can do that! Liam's goosebumps twitch is hilarious, but I gotta wonder, if it's that weird to RU-vid and other viewers and listeners, what was it like in person?
