What you have to bear in mind is that these rules about picking technique were laid down bu the guitarists that followed in Django,s giant footsteps. He didn,t follow rules he just played what was natural for him. Rules just limit and stagnate avenues you could explore. Django didn,t follow rules
Cheers. I agree about downstrokes and sound quality, power, control etc. But I'm afraid of breaking my thing, where the string-change stroke is always in the direction of the string shift. I find this helps me to avoid the angry typist sound at high tempo ... though gypsy picking doesn't make angry typist sound either.
Beautiful and peaceful. It’s a great composition where each instrument and musician can delight us. Thank you ( I initially came for the bass clarinet :) )
Wooooww!! So beautiful. Brighting live perform. Really full of oriental poetry. Such a pleasure to listen. Brilliant interpretation of all. Big big like for this splendid and magical sharing. Awesome!
