Back watching to a year later I’m so impressed by these guys and thinking about how Greg Rolie and Neil Schoen have known each other for so many years since Santana so interesting
I am sorry you were unable to make the show, but RU-vid videos are a small silver lining around that cloud. I post most videos I capture, but I save a couple from each show to post as a RIP honor as I have recently done with Jerry Lee Lewis and Jeff Beck. I have a couple each ready for Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson as they are up there in age. I feel honored whenever I get to see a musician continue to perform despite their challenges. Keep on Truckin' !
Technology is not going to stop here! It is a new era of endless possibilities. The sound quality is ridiculous and better than anything I've ever heard before!
My favorite Journey album: Look Into The Future, an amazing titled track as well , Infinity is my favorite Perry studio album & Ansley Dunbar! Journey’s greatest drummer in my opinion although love Steve Smith’s playing, as well as the others, Dunbar’s innovations/imaginative drumming has never been matched in Journey after his exit, anyhow, it’s great stuff🤙
I didn’t capture the complete performance. I could have as it lasted only 45 minutes. I purchased front row seats, but the casino added three more front rows to compensate their high rollers.
Well, done! I always enjoyed the Goldbergs possibly in part because I grew up in the Philadelphia media market around the time in which the show is set, so I understand most of their local and other pop culture references. No, the Grateful Dead stuff wasn’t accurate, but it wasn’t mean-spirited either. It employed hyperbole for comedic effect, and I always laughed along.
Pretty accurate in general other than using the term "OG", which didn't yet exist in the 80s and "20-minute bass solos", which certainly wasn't happening in the Touch of Grey era, if ever.
Was there REALLY an episode of The Goldbergs where people went and attended a Grateful Dead concert? This I GOTTA see, and I don't even like The Goldbergs.
Gregg is playing on the keyboards, but they have a supporting musician in the background shadows stage right. He plays keyboards and guitar. I didn’t know he was there until closing bows. Then I saw him on my videos. If I knew he was there I would have zoomed in on him at certain times. Oh well. Still a great show.
