In the summer of 2019, work began to completely renovate half of this park with new pads, water, sewer and electric. The work was supposed to be completed before the winter of 2019-2020 so that campers could use the sites. The contractor never made any attempt to complete project on time and took most of a year to finish. Remarkably, the same contractor was given the job of renovating the 2nd half of the park beginning in the summer of 2020! He has failed over and over to meet extensions to the date of completion! Now (as of Nov 6, 2023), 3-1/2 years after starting the renovation of the 2nd half of the park, the sites are still not available to campers! It's absolutely unbelievable that it's taken so long and at this point still isn't done! I camped there from Jan 2020 till I was asked to leave at the end of March because the park was shutdown by the county due to COVID epidemic. i drove past the unfinished work almost everyday hardly ever seeing anyone there during those almost 3 months we were there. Remember, the project was supposed to have been completed the end of 2019! The project was expected to take a year to renovate the entire park. Now 3-1/2 years later, no reservations have been given out for this winter coming up at this time.
Be cautious. Your definition of Resort may differ from ownerships. Lovely. Handy. Road noise can be excessive even for this area. It is handy because it is on the interstate. Price is what is charged in this area. Roomy enough. GREAT staff.
2022 update under new mngrs most of long time residents leaving en mass clueless mngrs very poorly attended events sad this park was sovibrant free events are now $$$$ drunken parties galore sherriffs office called terrible health habits around kitchen be aware do not go by past reviews
Frostproof is one of those undiscovered gems especially for retirees with it's cheaper cost of living compared to other parts of Florida.Should do another updated video on Frostproof,also great bass fishing from it's lakes.
Yes....it's a nice place....well maintained and looked after. ...plenty of rules and regulations. ..if you like that kind of thing...staying in RV ...there ....
I used to live here with my Grandparents in 1981.My friend Kimmy A lived across from us with her parents and siblings .We all went to Elfers Elementary School together .I have fond memories of this place .I remember there wasn't a pool yet when we were there and the road around the pond was a dirt road.And My friend Kim whom I'm still in contact with said that "Robbie "I think his name was took over for his parents,with the park .Sorry I I got the name wrong. IT was very long ago.
We moved here 6 months ago and love it! Nice large lots, the place is well maintained, we love our neighbors. The owner is very nice, he just doesn't put up with the whiners and complainers, I don't blame him. There are standards for staying here, it keeps the park nice and keeps out the less than desirable characters, and we commend him for it!
We stayed last year in April . Loved it staff was wonderful . Game room for kids and grown up kids alike . Great looking pool . We had shade on our lot F15 . Clean bath house nice camp store . Plenty of Antique stores to roam through. Overall a great place I loved it .
I stopped here for an overnight in Nov. 2021. The grounds are in complete disrepair. I had some concerns about some overgrown trees on my route out of the park. When I asked the staff for help I was met with quite a bit of resistance and the maintenance person was confrontational and juvenile. I would not recommend to anyone.
Boomtown in Bullhead City, Arizona! Investment COMMERCIAL property in Old Bullhead, straight across the river from the Golden Nugget Casino and Harrahs Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, IS DIRT CHEAP. Jet ski businesses want to spread out. They need commercial property to store their jet skies. Better buy now before they grab everything up! The jet skies businesses are making BIG BUCKS and can afford to pay for more Commercial expansion in OLD BULLHEAD.
This is the best place on the gulf coast to stay. I grew up here on the coast and wish this place would have been here years ago. This will be the place to stay every year. Great staff!
I am in Love with this place.Great waterfront camp sites,great staff.I am very happy that I couldn’t get reservations through Reserve America,because now I am going back to Fish Eating Creek.My new favorite camping spot! Happy Trails everyone!
Sorry, but you're video doesn't really show anything. It would be nice if it was a little slower so the viewer could actually take in what was being shown. Some different music, or at least not the same hook over and over. Where is the actual park--the RV spaces?
We made a reservation last January and Calusa called me after we left home to cancel our reservation. We ended up at another camp ground that was the worst ever. Don't trust Calusa to hold your reservation.
