The purpose: For me (John Pemberton) to teach my wife (Dani), son (Jude), daughter (Grace) and myself of 2008 how to manage type 1 diabetes using what I have learnt since 2008.

Being a male with type 1 diabetes increases your children’s chance of getting type 1 from 0.3% to 3.0%. This means Grace and Jude’s risk is ten times higher because of my genes.
