Only one I’ve never heard of is dickered. That being said, being from BC, we probably only use half of these. Some of these slang are more popular in different provinces
Chesterfield lol yeah maybe back in the 1800s . Are these people looking up 1800s slang? 99% of people in Canada call it a sofa or couch. This is ridiculous
What a dumb video . Who's the person who made this video? 80% nonsense . Been here in Toronto all my life never heard of 80%. Larry Randy???? What the hell. Maybe newfound land .
I am Canadian and have never heard of most of these. I am in Nova Scotia and we call cigarette and cigarette or a smoke. Not a dart. Wtf? Haha Hoser was from the comedians Bob and Doug MacKenzie. They made up funny words for things. Most did not use these words unless they were making a joke. Weird. Hahaha
As a 38 year old Canadian, born and raised, most of these I've never heard of. Who actually talks like this? Even 'Hoser' is only ever said as a quick joke but nobody talks like that. Well, maybe Newfies but not the rest of the Country.
I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, and I’ve never heard most of these being said. Also, some things mentioned are only said in certain parts of the country (such as “bunny hug” in Saskatchewan, so being from and growing up in Ontario, I’ve never heard that here before - we just call it a hoodie).
Great list, congrats to the creative team behind this. While not accessible to students unfortunately, there is a rumor on campus of a bathroom in the Klinck building that is single-use but big enough to have a squash game in. Maybe the Ubyseey can do an FOI to confirm or deny the existence of this bathroom.
never heard of anyone saying boot the way they put it. its footwear or turfing someone out of a place... "I will boot you out of here if you keep this up"
