Thank you. This was very helpful. Reading about it online and googling it does not give the details that you just gave. You made the process seem simple, it’s tedious, and longer than I would like it to be, but simple and you described it great. I wish they could just sprout in one day and then I would be happy, but we have to be patient and deal with the tediousness so that we could have greatness in our food
Nice video. Regarding things i see in the comments section: If you read college research info, cooking sprouts after sprouting is definitely the way to go, to avoid any disease from sprouts. The greatest nutrition of sprouted quinoa comes by limiting the sprout size, to only the size of the seed- very, very small sprout; if you grow them longer, the sprout uses up the nutrition of the seed to grow, greatly reducing the nutrition. In terms of people commenting about refrigeration pros/ cons: you can do a combo- it doesn't have to be all or nothing. Start outside the frig, & progress to the frig. People also worry about fruit flies: use an outer towel wrap & plastic bag, &/ or sealed vessel like a crock pot dish with lid, or casserole dish with lid, & a strainer inside it to elevate it for draining. Blessings. Peace. Love wins.
I'm in the process of soaking Quinua for about 8 hrs after several rinses. First time for me trying the sprouting process. I don't have a sprouting bag like in this video. Could I drip dry them for 30 min., and transfer to a large glass & cover ? Thanks
Thank you so much for the great comment! Made my day :) I was lost for a long time on what I wanted to do and what kind of content to create. But I think I'm coming back around to it. What sort of things would you like to see? Thanks again! Very much appreciated 🙏🏼
@@powerplantbody8243 Oh, I feel like you are reaching the people who are meant to see you....take pride in that! I was searching plant body while gaining muscle when I ran across your channel! Love your method for sprouting! I have 2 questions: 1. Can I use a nutmilk cloth bag to sprout with? 2. How much of the goodness is retained from cooking microgreens please?
I'm not sure why it's taken Google so long to bring your videos to my attention, but I'm grateful to finally find you. Terrific honesty, and we introverts and "impostors" are so often misunderstood - often by ourselves. Well done you!
BTW THe reason why your sprouts take so long to sprout is because you put them in the fridge. It only takes two days to get fully sprouted chickpeas at room temperature (even faster in the summer).
Why you here? Yeah go eat fast food that loaded with chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, steroids.... see how that works for ya. In my world, health is wealth.
Carrot? a root if a biennial plant that only flowers in its second year which it never gets to It dies young when we eat then in their first, baby season!
Whoa I had no idea you could sprout them in the fridge. This is so useful to me because my apartment is humid and sprouting attracts little fruit flies when I leave it out so it's been frustrating. Thank you so much for the proof it can be done in a fridge. This feels way safer especially in terms of probably completely deterring mold. Thx!
Thank you but your process is NOT easy There is NO NEED to place it in a mesh bag and wait thirty 30 min for it to drain times x number of time. People are busy so it's important for everyone to know that sprouting does not have to be a production. Here is a simple, no fuss way to sprout quinoa, beans, etc. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Eh_nQULPjGo.html
