The question is important only if you believe that Jesus was/is God. If Jesus was God, it makes Jews of his times the most important beings in the entire universe! That would also mean that not only God chose our planet (out of perhaps TRILLIONS that can be potentially inhabited) but Jews in particular as a group to be born into. Are you sure about that? What does it say about the category of Caucasian? Seems like it encompasses a very large variety of phenotypes. I know middle eastern and North African people who are indistinguishable from people categorized as black. I’m sure you are aware of this. So to say that all of these people are accurately categorized as Caucasian either mean that the category is meaningless or more political than anything. Not to mention these areas have experienced a lot of wars, invasions, colonization, and genetic drift. What the average North African looked like today is not indicative of what they would have looked like in 4 BC. At the end of the day it is safe to say that Jesus would have looked like a Yemenite Jew, with mid brown complexion and could have had a range of hair texture. However, to claim that he was Caucasian and put him in the same category as an Irishman is intentionally misleading and reflect more the racial and ethnic conflicts of the last 500 years, rather than any real understanding of the matter.
