This company should be sending you a free scooter in my opinion since you are doing more to answer inquiries and doing better overview videos than the company. Keep up the good work man you’re a natural.
Man that would be great if company sends me something lol. I try to do a good job. It’s a little nerve racking cause i know im going to mess up on pronouncing words or saying things wrong, but oh well it is what it is lol.
Would you possibly know how to change from kph to mph on the display? Also even though we have the speed safety connector unplugged the scooter will only do 18 mph in full send 3 position could there possibly be something else that needs to be done?
I have haven’t messed with changing the kph to mph. I’m not sure why your scooter is not going any faster than 18mph. I’m thinking maybe the gear switch is bad or there is a bad connection somewhere.
Hello, sorry forgetting back to so late. I’m hoping you figured out your problem. My turn signal were just loose and all I had to do was tighten them up. Not sure if something is wrong with your connection. Email the company. They have been pretty good on helping and responding back to me quick.
So far I haven’t had to do any Maintenance but I’m pretty sure I will need to eventually. Im 5 11. I do need to replace my pegs. They are made of aluminum and do break easy if you have a heavy foot
Ok, got mine a couple days ago. Love it but it has some problems. 1st a red circle appeared at the bottom right of the viewing panel. No idea why. #2 started dropping out for no apparent reason. The battery showing full, and the accessories work but no throttle. Refreshed everything but still nothing. ( the red circle comes and goes). So my understanding is this... power comes from the battery, goes to Controller, and from there it goes to the rear wheel. All plug-ins are calls to direct the current through the Controller. Lights, horn, turn signals, and throttle are all calls through the controller. So I called for some help since it is only 3 days old. I wish they would let me talk to the tech but they don't. That turns into a conveluted mess.
Try emailing them. They respond back quickly to me. I remember asking them about the red circle that appears once in awhile. If I remember they told me it was a caution light nothing to worry. Make sure you charge the battery even though it says full when you got it. My battery does go up and down depending on the speed I’m going.
I also know that there is a safety connection by the odometer that if connected it won’t let you reach it maximum speed. I have a vid showing the location if that helps.
@@Jrod49erz Figured as much about a warning light however a warning for what? They wanted a picture so I sent one. The main problem is the throttle dropping off. I mean all of a sudden nothing. I'm thinking it's a controller problem. Since everything goes through the controller to meter the voltage where ever it is needed that sounds right to me. Could figure this out in a second if I could talk to a live tech from them. It's not like this is super complicated. BTW, you're doing a great job covering things that they should have supplied instructions for. Good Job and thank you.
@@Jrod49erz The scooter came with that unplugged. I have it plugged up right now. Pulled my battery and checked the volts. Had ridden it about 3 miles and it cut out again. Obviously, there is a problem. Checked my battery voltage and it was 63.5 volts. Can't see a battery problem. That's why I got the 30 AH.
Aww man I really wish I can help you out. Hopefully they get back to you soon and thanks for the shout out on my vids. I’m not a professional youtuber lol but I tried.
How do you replace the battery in the fob? Please help I'm having a hard time finding out any information on how to replace that stupid battery in the fob
I haven’t replaced mine yet. I was trying to open the fob last night just couldn’t figure it out and I didn’t want to break it but I’m sure there is a way just gotta be careful with it. I’ll be trying to work on it. Hopefully i can open it
I ordered it online, I bought it for $1500 but there are different prices for different styles scooters. Here is the web link fatbearscooters.com/collections/scooters/?Brand&Brand+-+Exact&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpZem57yo-gIV9j6tBh3TWg0vEAAYASAAEgLD-_D_BwE
Try using your phone to check the speed you can get a speedometer app iv seen alot of scooters on the speedometer not giving the correct speed and thats why they were using their phones to get a right reading
It all depends how fast your going. If your constantly on 3 gear it will drain your battery faster but yeah it will go about 20 to 30 miles on a charge. I haven’t gone to far to test it out.
Yo water boy have you ever had problems with the tires. I just got a spare tire from fat bear and the bead with not stick to rim so I need help tryna blow it up please help me out bro.
Awww dang I haven’t had a problem yet. Only thing i can tell you to do is email the company. They are really good at getting back with information. Sorry brotha hopefully you get your answer. help@fatbearscooters.com (888) 997-3955
I had to install the handlebars, mirrors, pegs and tighten the front blinkers other than that it was simple. The hardest thing for me was taking it out of the metal crate. Shipping was free when I bought the scooter.
Hello and thank you so much for making this videos! When taking the back seat out, does that make the scooter a little less long? I’m asking cause I need to fit this inside my one bedroom apartment! Thanks!
With or without the seat the length of my scooter is about 75 inches long and the widest part of the scooter which would be the handlebars is 34 inches wide. I have a Fat Bear Cub Scooter.
I haven’t really tested how far the battery will last on send mode lol. I just ride it to work which is around the corner from my house, but when I do test it out I let you know
I have the biggest battery (30ah). Not sure the exact range on constant full send (30mph) bc I haven't had the opportunity to stay at that speed consistently. On a single charge I average between 25-30mph and get about 25 miles range. Not to bad for that size scooter. Lots of fun...
I bought the Fat Bear Cub scooter for $1500. Got online at fatbearscooters.com/collections/scooters/?Brand+-+Mobile&Brand+-+Exact&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyOiugY2f9wIVDRmtBh1GOAawEAAYASAAEgIj5_D_BwE
Just got my Fat Bear Fat Road scooter last weekend...took forever to get here. So you always have to take out the battery to charge or is there a external charge port I'm missing?
My scooter came with a AC charger which connects to the battery and then to the wall. I move my battery a little bit forward so i can connect the AC charger to it and wouldn’t have to take out my battery. My battery is attached with velcro.
@@Jrod49erz Actually I haven't even tried pauhing in the charger while the battery sits. If it fits good then I'll just do that. I also may just cut a square on the front of the scooter and add a charge port....mod time!
@@Jrod49erz It's really fun. My 3yr old stands perfectly while I use the foot pegs. We drive around the neighborhood. My biggest complaints are that the brakes are not aligned so you can hear a piece of the brake pad scrap on both front and back and the seat is not comfortable for more than 10min. I'm looking into making my own seat or just modifying a cafe racer motorcycle seat so it's one long seat. Also the front suspension bottoms out alot. Even with those complaints it's still pretty fun for what it is.
Yeah one of my breaks does rub. Seat could be better but I already had an idea it was going to be rough lol, bit for the price I’m happy with the scooter. There is another brand that’s way more expensive called Phat Scooter. Glad your cruise and having fun with your kid. My son loves it
You brakes you stated are on the wrong side,. the one with the throttle is ALWAYS the front NEVER the back, this is the way motorbikes are done ALL OF THEM!
Could you do a video on how the handle bars are put on. I just got a Fatbear Scooter and I can’t figure out why my handle bars won’t go on like they should. I got 0 instructions and I’ve been looking for videos on how to do it and I can’t find anything
The handlebars should be just hanging with all the cables connected. All you do is pick up the handlebars and slide it on the shaft of the front scooter. The scooter comes with a Allen Bolt and a Allen Wrench Tool which came in a tool bag with the scooter. Take out the Allen bolt and screw it into the hole i pointed at on this video. You then tighten it with the Allen Wrench Tool. I’ll try and do a video but hopefully by the time you see this message you installed the handlebars.
Just ordered one, can't wait to get it! there are like no videos on FatBear Scooters.. like 3 people! I like seeing the scooter and the features. night shots would be cool to see the lights...
Yeah that’s why I made the videos cause before I got my scooter. I wanted to see more of the scooter and I didn’t find to much vids on the Fat Bear. I have another video that’s part 1 if you want to check it out. I’m just not happy that this video because it came out blurry. Your going to love your scooter 👍🏽.
@@Jrod49erz they say that n the site it’ll take a couple days to process the order then 7-10 business days to get it (basically 2 weeks). Was that your experience? Any delays?
@@Jrod49erz oh and the vid was clear when I viewed it. And thanks for posting those vids. Security feature was good to see. Gives me little fix of experiencing it while I don’t have it ;-).
@@djmaine9475 it took about 3 weeks to get my scooter. Which I was honestly expecting it to take longer even though the site says the estimate time. There customer service is really good. I’ve emailed them a few times and they got back to me pretty quick. Only trouble I had was no Instructions which I already knew that. Scooter is simple to put together and I figured out the rest on my own. I love my scooter lol
You'll probably have to wait a day or two to get RU-vid to compress it. It happens to me too. Our subscriber count is really low so they don't prioritize our vids.
I've been searching for over 9months trying to find a decent review video...please upload a riding video. I'm interested to see if my 3yr old can fit standing up while I ride it.
Yeah that is why I made the video cause before I bought the scooter I was trying to look for a decent video with more details of the scooter and I didn’t find one. Thanks
The Fat Road is nice. Your going to love it and your kid can definitely stand up in the front while you ride. You’ll be surprised how big the scooter is. 559 Porterville in the house lol
