I've covered the vibrant music scene in Portland, Oregon since 1987. First, as a Producer at Multnomah Community Television, (for the Waterfront Blues Festival From 1991 to 1998). It was aired on Multnomah Community Television as a series production in the performing arts category. This won an international award with the Hometown USA Video Festival, Alliance For Community Media in 1993. This was a wonderful learning experience and I met many people I may never have met if it weren't for community media.. Since then, I took to photography. My photos have been seen in magazines, newspapers, CDs, books, websites and social media. Through community media, long-term friendships were made and experience gained to pursue my passion, photographing live music, people, and writing for a local publication. Community media is very important and the possibilities are whatever you want to make it.
@@MetroEastCommunityMedia I have a wealth of videos sitting on a shelf collecting dust. stuff is never seen. I am not an editor. But I have SVHS tapes, 3/4 inch, and 8 mm digital tape. know no one who is passionate about the blues enough to devote a lot of effort to making a documentary, and everyone else wants to try to figure out a way to make money. zi can sit for a long time easier than I can stand at a camera all day these days. lol.

I mean I see ur point....and I agree with the overall "idea" ...... But.... if its taken you two years to put a song together... ESPECIALLY if you realize the market is getting flooded..... then you kinda allowed two years of "garbage" to flood the market. Take your time and do it right... but maybe work on your songs a little harder and get em out a bit quicker if you dont wanna compete with THAT much extra music. Its 2024....... and honestly Ive worked with a fair share of artists. ZERO take 2 years on 1 track? THATS just a crazy statement for an actual artist to make. ....... Ive been working with\around music for 20+ years. like in real life. Perhaps your first song and your a teen....ok two years...but actual active artists? thats crazy......Also, not trying to be a debbie downer.... just being real.
