New Edition wasn't the same era. New Edition came out in 1978 and their first hit 'Is This The End' came out in 1983. Immature didn't come out til almost a decade later in 1992 with their first hit 'Munchies'. They weren't even high school age yet. They were a kid group in grade school. New Edition were grown by that point.
They did a live performance of this song on the View, with the original lead singer. He is the only original left, and as far as I know, he is still with us.
When drugs was frowned upon. Drugs is more celebrated today as a American norm. And, No its not funny, it is very serious especially if you lost somebody from this type of living. It has took out some good people. Addiction is not something to laugh at.
Phil Collins lost my respect with the song Psue, Psue Psudeio. It's as obnoxious as an ambulance that won't turn off the lights or the alarm. It just sits there and is annoying for 4 minutes. NO MORE PHIL COLLINS.
I really enjoyed this. It was comprehensive without country music, and I liked that. The one song that was missing, in my option, was by the Sisters With Voices (SWV) titled "I Get So Weak." Every Gen X'er knows all the words to this song.
One of my top songs of all time and After 7 crushed it. I might be biased because they are from my hometown (Indianapolis). They went to North Central High School with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds. I subscribed because you have good taste. Thank you for keeping this alive. BTW. I dated a Sara back in the day. She wore my letterman jacket. lol

My favorite "hair" band ever! (He went by Milli, not Milo , short for Miljenko) The band's career was cut short when Milli was badly injured in a horrible onstage accident. (available on video) but he is singing again now.
