This is the beginning of one adventure in Phase 3 of my life. I hope you join me on my journey as I re-enter the world of model building. I want to document my progress and growth from where I am at in my skills and knowledge in model building as well as RU-vid content creation. Hopefully I will encourage myself and others that if you have a dream, just start wherever you're at and just do the damn thing!
Well, just found your channel.... Already liked and subscribed. And yes that was an excellent show. Already planning on going next year, and will definitely be looking for you. Oh yeah 👈....wait 👉, oh well there are two fingers 😅
Would have been nice to meet ya! I have a slideshow of the build tables going public today, let me know if I caught any of yours. Are you local to Kansas City?
Nice stash adds. I usually only take money I can spend to model shows. When I go to a show, I expect to find a few older kits I really want, along with new releases. I have some holy grail kits, but they are not really old kits. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Mike, thank you for watching all the way through. I really did only take money I could spend, it just could have been spent more wisely on other things. I was surprised that I didn't see a lot in the way of old rare kits.
Looks like you got some nice stash adds, Grady. I had hoped to make it to the show this year, but wasn't able to... maybe next year! You sure had a hard week with the losses of friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and their families. My mother passed away ten years ago this past Thursday, so it was a hard time for me also. I had wanted to get in on your group build, but I didn't have anything in my stash that really fit the theme.
I appreciate being in your thoughts. It's definitely been a hard go. Condolences on your mother as well. Even though I didn't finish my own group build, I'm going to soldier on and I'm going to make it a yearly thing, so maybe next year.
Would have been nice to meet you, Terry. I tend to look a little intense when I'm on a task, like getting shots for videos or combing through those vendor tables. If you see me again, please do say hello. Are you local to Kansas City?
Mike, I feel ya there. I've accepted that I am a collector SLASH builder so my "storage" is all on display. I don't want my unbuilts hidden away in boxes and totes and closets and such so yeah, space is really becoming a premium.
Yep, TRY being the operative word. As for the pentacle, I've been semi-practicing since I was a teen. I now have a 501(c)(3) "church" and a small community outreach.
@@unclesweetiesmodelworks That is so awesome that you have your " church " and outreach program. I'm a " pre-christianity " Celt myself. I don't belong to a group or " church " but generally prefer to practice alone.
No, these were the only 2 motorcycles he had. Those BSAs are hard to come by. My email is in the description, drop me a line if you want one of the Fire Fighters. And yeah, I probably spend too much on the hobby as well.
Yes, I know how that goes. I took a Saturday off to go to an IPMS show and I bought ten kits. A few were $5 a pop because they lady didn't want to take them home. I've decided to take Saturdays off for model shows with my club because my mental health is more important than the company I work for making more money off of me.
Sweet stah adds, understand what your saying about bills, I keep telling the postman no Bill's live here 😮😂 hope you're doing OK 👍 Cheers 🍻🍻KC 🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🏔🏔❄️🌨🌨
You picked up alot of Great kits. The 507 is a little tricky. I've never built a General. I know there is alot of debate on the official color. Thanks for sharing
