Thank you so much. Your words are much appreciated. Tet is a great experience. Just a reminder, there will be certain places that will be closed for the celebration. But other than that you will get to experience all the extra fun festivities. Thanks for watching. 🙏
In July you can expect weather being fairly hot (80’s to 90’s). July is considered a rainy month, so anticipate a lot of rain. Kayaking and cave exploring is still possible, but would definitely suggest doing so with a tour guide group as a safety measure. Weather conditions can change fairly quick, so it’s always good to be prepared. Enjoy your visit to Halong Bay, do let us know how your trip goes!
First time in Southeastern Asia , Went from Manila Philippines 🇵🇭 to DA Nang City , Vietnam 🇻🇳 And now I am back in Cebu City , Philippines 🇵🇭 And Missing Da Nang so much . Can't wait to return in November 2024 . Attractions like Ba Na hills , Golden Bridge , My An Beach ⛱️ And the night life is exceptionally some of the world's best Attractions . I Recommend Da Nang City to Anyone Visiting Vietnam 🇻🇳
Amazing! Thanks for sharing your experience. What areas did you visit for nightlife? Any particular tips or suggestions? Maybe it could give some perspective on what to expect for future travelers.
Oh no! that is terrible. We all have to do our part and keep the beauty of nature clean. This is why we always pick up after ourselves on every trip. It's unfortunate that this seems to occur when tourism starts to grow with a destination. Not only tourists, but also all the by--product trash that comes along with catering to visitors.
@@TravelwithDodo yeah I was just there a couple days ago and it was dreadful. I recommend people go a couple of km to Khem Beach instead. It's pristine
July is one of the hottest months of the year for Da Nang. It can be okay if you’re okay with tropical humid weather. The heat can be draining at times, so plan your activities around places to take breaks in a cool air conditioned destinations, or relaxing in the water. Make sure to bring light breathable clothing and sunscreen. Ba Na Hills on the other hand is quite nice in comparison, in terms of weather. Ba Na Hills was used by the French as a summer getaway, to beat the heat. Hope that helps with expectations. Thanks for watching! 🙏
It really depends on how many attractions you would like to visit and if you plan on enjoying them or rushing through. Usually we do 2-4 days when visiting, to be able to experience Ba Na Hills. However, others would say 1 full day is enough to experience it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Hue can be fairly busy in certain locations. But is considered pretty dead in comparison to busier cities such as Saigon Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or even Da Nang.
July is one of the dry months in Da Nang, however it can be relatively hot and humid, which could deter some due to feeling sticky all the time. Plan on wearing lightweight clothing. Hope that information helps you plan your trip. Thanks for watching! ❤️
great video! Can you please tell me what time of the day did you visit the golden hands bridge at Ba na hills to avoid crowds and get such beautiful footages? Thanks!
If you want to beat the crowds we would suggest getting there right when they open. I believe times may vary, so it’s advisable to check on the times during your visit. Also double check on sunrise times too, so you can plan for the best shots! Another great time to catch some great footage is sunset, but there will be a bit more of a crowd during those times.
At the rate Vietnam is developing and economic growth, this statement is unfortunately true. A beautiful destination is bound to get the attention it deserves. Hopefully prices will stay manageable 😂.
I just came back from Phu Quoc a day ago. Long beach was disappointing. Crappy beach and unexciting nightlife, but nice clear waters. Had fun in Sunset Town and the cable car though...
@@TravelwithDodo Despite being called long beach, the walkable part of the beach was actually only less than 1km. Not only was the beach not long, it was not very wide either, not much space between where the hotel grounds end and the sea begins. Not great for walking. Bars closed at 10/11pm.
Good points, Long Beach is fairly narrow in comparison to other beaches. It is supposed to be the longest beach in Phu Quoc. What area were you by? During our visit we stayed out past midnight, however we did venture off a little bit away from the beach resort area. I know sometimes certain resort bars close early to help reduce noise for guests during the late night. Not sure if that was what you experienced. Definitely appreciate your feedback on your experiences. It’ll help others with their travel arrangements.
@@TravelwithDodo I stayed in a resort called Anja. Nice hotel. Pity it was on a shitty beach. I walked over to the next beach to the north, closer to Duong Dong. Much nicer. More beach bars and restaurants that opened till later. If i'm ever going back I'm staying on that beach. Would have loved to go to the beaches on the east coast which are reportedly the best. But I didn't have enough time.
Langkawi and Da Nang are both tropical paradises. Both have awesome beaches and a cool mix of cultures. Langkawi is more about that chill island life with a laid-back vibe, plus it's an archipelago, so lots of island-hopping. Da Nang, feels more city and modern, with its buzzing streets and historical spots like Hoi A close by. So, if you're into more a nature vibe, Langkawi's a great choice. But if you want a blend of city life and beach relaxation , Da Nang's the way to go.
From Da Nang Airport to Ba Na Hills, a taxi or private car is quick and easy, straight to the Ba Na Hills golden bridge in about 40 minutes. For a cheaper option, you can take a shuttle that is offered by hotels and tours- it's slower but saves you some bucks.
Although Vietnamese is the primary language in Phu Quoc there are some English speaking locals. But we always suggest learning some basic phrases and words when visiting a foreign country. Hope that helps!
Vietnam doesn't actually offer a specific retirement visa. But, if you're thinking of retiring there, you've still got some options. For starters, you can apply for a regular Vietnamese visa at any of their embassies. This visa can last for six months or even a year, but the catch is, you can only stay in Vietnam for up to three months at a 3 month stretch. The best way for retirement is by obtaining either a business visa or an investor visa. Hope that helps you with your planning. Thanks for watching 🙏
My grandfather spent a year and a half living here during the war when he was stationed in the late 60s. He's in his '80s now and while he's in good health at this age, you've never know when he's going to die. So I want to try to visit here this year, visit the places that he spent all this time with take photographs and surprise him when I return. Unlike most Vietnam vets, he has mostly good memories of his time there, so I think it'll be more pleasant than traumatic.
Thanks for sharing your story. I am sure you there will be a lot of fond memories for your grandfather upon seeing your photos. Make sure to keep your photos around, so one day the next generation could share their Vietnam experience with you and trade stories. Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks for watching. If you want to beat the crowds, we would suggest arriving at the cable car station no later than 7:00 am. Of course, if you can get there a a bit earlier than that, that's even better (gives you time to get situated). It gives you a better opportunity to catch the sunrise and snap some amazing pictures. Double check on the sunrise times during for the days that you plan on visiting to help make plans. Enjoy your visit!
