Im currently in the phase of being a shitty employee and tbh i am trying, but then i see how little the boss gives a damn about what i want and how i can change things, that im thinking of starting my own thing, i might and will fail but at least ill be working towards my dream to be my own boss.
Tom Hanks played him real 👍 good! In Sully!......and in SNL! Sully is a top pilot! Could have landed Apollo 11 on the Moon like Neil Armstrong did! Great American stuff! Nowadays too much friction everywhere, the good old days were better Worldwide!
What an incredible man. His professionalism is incredible and his abilities are seemingly limitless. To be teamed with First officer Skiles, and the fearless cabin crew, was without doubt what saved all those souls that day. An absolutely amazing story that should inspire us all.
Sully and Jeff are heroes. I've watched many (all the) documentaries about commercial airplane accidents. Many of those accidents involve weather, darkness, flying over the ocean, navigationa errors, and mechanical failures. But, confusion in the cockpit is almost always a factor. It either causes a problem, or makes it worse. They were lucky, it was a clear day, no rain or storms, no heavy crosswinds, the river was relatively calm. But there has never been an emergency water landing of a commercial passenger jet without a fatality, that I know of. (aside from planes designed to land on water) It has never happened. And hearing him speak about this is riveting. The intense focus of that few minutes of both pilots. Working together, focusing only on what was needed in the moment, using a few chosen words on the radio and to the crew. This is an amazing story.
Neil Stevenson Novel Snowcrash could be the future of the World. Have an online Alternative Universe for each Race, Religion and Political Party. Let's see what happens.
Just imagine that Pilot go for an interview with another Aeroplane Company: Interviewer :- How many hours of flying experience did you have? That Pilot :- I was the Pilot of the Plane XXX landed in the Hudson River. Interviewer:- Are you joining today itself???? You can decide your c2c.
I've gotten a lot of value from this. What I learned from this was to go into a negotiation thinking "we both want the same outcome, how can we get there whilst safeguarding both our interests?"
Captain Sullenburger, a couple months before your water landing I was at Denver Airport waiting for a flight out to Phoenix. I had had a surgery performed in Denver because no one in Phoenix would do it. I was sent to Denver to see the surgeon who invented the implant I received to help control the pain in my neck and arms after an accident playing football in 1977 left me with a herniated disc that took 27 yrs to receive treatment for. The plane had landed, an Airbus 320, and was being readied for my flight. While I was sitting there I had a premonition, a thought like premonition that the plane was going to crash. As I started to get up and head over to the attendant at the terminal to see about changing flights another portion of that premonition let me know that my flight was ok, and when it did crash no one would die. I had completely forgotten about that until I saw what had happened on the News. it wasn’t the first time I’ve had a premonition that came true. Sometimes they happen, sometimes I get a false alarm. It could be that someone changed something that prevented the incident I’d been warned of. Sometimes , I don’t know why it was wrong and other times it happened. That makes it almost impossible to warn someone. Thank God those people had you on board that plane along with your copilot and flight crew. Thank God you landed safely on the water so that people could come to assist you. And thank you for saving those lives! 2:58
I've been a licensed pilot since 1984. I would never but myself in the category of Sullenberger, or anyone like him. What I can say is, he is 100% correct about the training for water landings. It literally consists of not much more than pictures in a book, or drawings on a chalkboard, and discussion in the class room. The fact that flight crew pulled it off at all, much less no real injuries or fatalities, is a tribute to their experience and skills.
Wow just revisited this and I can’t believe how competent this man is. A living legend for his composure and decision making on that day. A man of character too being the last one off the plane in the freezing cold. Someone build this man a statue on the Hudson!!!
I believe that Sully is a real hero, the way he managed the fatal situation was perfect, because if he was scare or nervous, he never raised his voice o said a bad word. I think the sound of his voice always in calm malkes people feel secure.
When I watch Shark Tank, it doesn’t matter the idea it gives me a different idea that has nothing to do with what I just saw. For that reason that’s why I have 12 ideas and I’m still working on bringing them to pass.. it’s a secret. Keep watching Shark Tank. It’s my favorite show. My personality is I don’t waste my time.
This is such a detailed and eloquent retelling of the scenario and its nuances. The things that these people think in the moment. Considering what to say to portray the seriousness of the situation, while still being encoded instructions that the flight attendants snapped right onto. And both of the pilots being in-sync, and the explanation of how their experience played into their precise reactions. And he tells it in such confident and vivid detail that you know that the experience is true. You can't fake the experience of human instinct taking over. Narrowing vision, heart-rate increase. Him explaining the fearful thoughts that ran through his mind during the first moments. You can't fake that. It's almost vulnerable in a way, humbly telling the world all of the dread and insecurities he experienced during the very short timeline he made the right choices to save over a hundred lives. Great video.
It's the magnitude of the US debt , the magnitude of the illusion. It's a question equation of millions of poor for a few rich , sure it's war , but not out of business only out of my pocket.Shareholders know the next reverse split is near. The structure is defect , you can't change anything , who buys worthless shares by the way still today ? ?
all my respect for this man, his brain and body, his crew and all incredible humans like him. he saved them all, and all in the ground, and all the kids and grandkids that were yet to be born. h e r o.
