Well, I understand author wants to show respect to national mythology of Romanians. But I bet if he would be sent to Moldova and North Eastern half of Transilvania in 700-1050 with 'Romanian' (indeed Valachian, and I even don't mention 52% of Franco-Italian words from 19th century) language learned he would be totally speechless in conversations with locals. It makes no sense showing Moravians separate from Czechs while labeling all German or Italian ethnic groups simply as Germans and Italians from 1500 on. The linguistic and cultural differences within these groups were (and still are to this day!) far bigger than between Czechs /Bohemians and Moravians ever were.
