I love riding different dirtbikes all over Michigan. I used to have a collection of over 20 bikes which unfortunately got stolen from me on July 3rd 2022. However the passion for riding still remains.
Hmmm , have ridden both - the older WR-F maybe a little better in the tight stuff sure But the YZ- FX suspension, jumping and taking sharp hits stability is at another level I thought Best std suspension I'd felt on a dirt bike
I own a ‘01 XR400. Love it. I am 6’4. The Dr350,DRZ400 all feel like bikes perfect if your 5’8. Cramped ergos for me and tinny motor. Like I can hear every tooth of the cam touch chain. The XR has so much usable torque its unbelievable. If your using either of these bikes on anything more serious than a gravel/dirt road, theres no choice, the DR is a non-factor. By the same token, no way am I going to pull out on the interstate with the XR, DR is better there. Well, I take a little of that back, neither belongs there really.
I have one of these but the 570 cc 2010 model, and yes they are awesome!! When ridden, it’s like riding a 450 cc!! 70degree engine design, hydraulic clutch, fuel injected and full time electric start.. just an awesome machine👍👍. Funnily enough, I have a XR 650 R as well. These two will never get sold that’s for sure.
Thanks for this video. I have a 1993 DR650 and love off-roading. As my confidence grows I takw more complicated routes and start to find the DR650 is too heavy and lacks in suspension (no regulation except preload on the shock). I like both the DR350 (6 gears, less weight and better suspension already than the 650) but the XR400 is my unicorn I think. Even less weight, even better suspension) and both can do highway at 90km/h what I do now with the 650 as well (to save knobbies) but man do I doubt about the kick start only... but seeing how easy you start them, I can do that. And what was very important to me is your comment on the XR bars being a bit further away, I'm a few cms taller than you. Both dead reliable and fairly low maintenance which is great for a hobby mechanic like me. Thanks! Hope to find a good XR400 some time! One close to me asks EUR3350 which is like $4K 😳 bit much for a 20+yr old bike...
Great vid! So what years were each bike? Seems like you were riding a pre 2015 (carb) WR250F and a newer 2015+ YZ250FX. Two totally different bikes if thats the case. The newer WR250F have a really touchy throttle, not a smooth delivery like the older ones
Spot on! Raced a 2008 200 a couple of years and it was the best bike for me. You can lug it or peg it like a 125. The firts years it was the same frame for 125 and 200. Keep that bike man.

I want to do this to my 2017 YZ250F, any suggestions on the light?. Sorry to read that your bike got stolen friend, that's why I conceal carry in case someone wants to FAFO. Thanks for the info!
I’ve got the 2023 i removed all the restrictions that are on the bike from factory I also got the competition ECU and the bigger exhaust baffle as well as the air box snorkel Yha the wr 250f I love mine it’s awsome
Dude please make video talking about people who stole your dirtbiled. Im so angry. How did they get in. Did you report them to police. Were you home when they stole them
Still got the old XR400? I watched one of your old videos about a year ago and it helped me decide to get a 400. I've put about 2,000 mile on it this year. It's road legal and a blast!
It was definitely a great trail. The bike tipped over when parked and for whatever reason the fan stopped working along with the lights and other electricals
