You people are so fucking funny. Do you ACTUALLY think that individuals on the supreme court, particularly the more conservative members, with get rid of Legacy Admissions, the VERY admissions their children, grandchildren and etc. benefit from? Y'all come to this country with some Disney ass version of America being this non-existent promise land that rewards solely based on one's work ethic and merit. GTFOH.

Hi sir! Knowing the regional examination officer will benefit us how? Do we write our application keeping the officer in mind, or try and contact them through email conveying our interest in NYU?
Too late. They struck down AA and are going to get even less slots now. They got used. AA did not come up in Black People daily lives. It was never a benefit to us. We lost nothing. What AZNs lost(for everyone) is the need for Colleges to even bother tracking Race/Ethnicity stats. Now they can very quietly gatekeep... As is our way, we(Blacks) tried to save them... This was never about getting less Blacks/Hispanics in(can't go lower than lowest lol how did AZNs not put this together?). It was about keeping AZNs out.... and they were happy to help....
don’t forget that these are undergraduate degrees! all of these degrees as undergraduates are common precursors to graduate level education, which has a much higher pay rate 👍👍 think elementary teacher with a bachelors vs high school teacher with a masters, or counselor with a bachelors vs. therapist with graduate education
Thing is, you reallllllly don't need college for most of these, other than education. They are all jobs you could reasonably learn at a trade school or a specialized training course.
Can you also help to notice they are the most SWAMPED fields in terms of application pool? Supply and demand Rowan. Let’s not BS. I choose to be a teacher (thankfully not anymore) because it’s a cushy job in that you get massive Christmas break, spring break, holidays practically every month, and don’t forget your home on your couch by 3pm, often earlier if your a vet. Oh yeah did I mention on top of all that, you get 2 to 3 MONTHS off for effin summer! Hahaha no wonder, the application stacks are literally 2000 high for 4 jobs all playing 45k - I’ll say it louder… Supply and demand. If there are 2000 people going for 6 jobs, someone’s taking 45k, no doubt. I respect a teacher like no other - BECAUSE they choose to work that job for that pay and got chosen over hundreds if not thousands of applicants. Psychology I can’t explain. Same problem with applicant pool maybe? No idea. But I’d certainly take 7 hour days (with lunch) and about 100 more off days than that profession for the same not so great wage. Sign me up.
Industrial/Information with its W-2 employee scheme is disintegrating CAUSING the formation of a rising tide of Have- to- preneurs and Adapta-preneurs..The current administration has increased the army of IRS Agents to examine the returns of these new tax exemptioners who own their own jobs.
Not trying to be rude, but I’m pretty sure when compared to other jobs being a test prep tutor isn’t really considered successful (again I’m not trying to be rude)
