My non-phone savvy, non-tech savvy sister got a new Moto 5 5G 2024 yesterday from T-mobile and had the salesperson transfer her data from her 6 year old LG phone to the new Moto. Her contacts did not transfer over and she is very upset about it. Also, she does not have a Google account. I'm not quite understanding if the process you describe above will transfer those contacts or not. Will it? I'm going to have to try to transfer her contacts via some method but I don't really know what I'm doing either. I didn't see any mention that contacts would transfer over or that there was a checkbox to include contacts in the transfer via the method you describe. Help please...
Pretty annoying that my transfer dialog never asked if I wanted to use a cable. It defaulted to WIFI and didn't allow me any option whatsoever to choose USB. I have tons of content and according to the ETA, it's gonna take 6 hours wirelessly which is a little ridiculous. I tried setting up a Xiaomi phone just a few days ago and did the exact same transfer, and it took less than an hour with the cable. I have no clue why Google is forcing users to transfer content wirelessly... Really silly, especially if you don't have tons of time.
Your info is precise but me being a paranoid prick I am worried that if I select the TPM option and then reboot and if it asks me for a bitlocker key Which I don't have as this option was off. Should I go ahead ?
You know a lot of RU-vidrs on this data transfer, don't go into the details, but it's always the details that matter good video well done 👍✅, I will recommend your channel to others job well done 👍👍
So which way round should the cable be? With pure USB C the devices choose which side is host, but for USB B or USB A (eg 2 connected cables) the cables decide. Ir does it work both ways?
Does this method works even if the old phone doesn't support OTG? i can connect my old phone which has micro USB and don't support OTG to new one with type C via converter and it'll be charged but it's not showing file transfer option like it showed while connecting to computer, but i didn't tested it on initial phone setup which you're showing here.
While using Wi-Fi, will my data transfer go to somewhere on the cloud or to my mobile phone company for someone to access? I am trading in a Samsung J320v and transfer to a Samsung S 24. I had rather use the USB C cable method for the transfer. Thanks!
Please help: I'm trying to transfering from my Samsung Galaxy A37 phone to Xiaomi Redmi Pad tablet. Via USB-C it fails. Via Wifi it fails. Via google backup, it fails. All fail.. Thanks google... Any idea what I can do to solve this? Thanks.

I have 3 different Ezviz cameras. They all allow viewing from multiple places. But I don’t have this specific camera yet. And all my cameras are connected with an Ethernet cable.
Factory reset the other phone (google the name of the other phone and the words "factory reset" which will wipe all the data and make it look like the "new phone" in this guide)
Helped a friend with activating TPM on his laptop, AMD cpu with an Asus board like this video - exception being, it didn't show the "AMD fTPM configuration" in Advanced (lo and behold, TPM did appear in search though) - thank you for this video
Excelente vídeo! Gracias!! Gracias!!!
When I connect the two phones with the cable nothing happens. The dialog fails to progress. The old phone is a Xiaomi POCO X3 and the new phone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 12. The cable is brand new. Any thoughts on what could be going wrong?
