Hi, my name is Daniel, and my channel focuses around garbage trucks mostly around Southern California, but sometimes I will post a video outside of California. Check out my channel to find high quality videos of different garbage trucks.
New videos come out when ever I decide to post. :)
Good stuff! The Amrep was the biggest surprise, forgot they had those down there. Do you know if the Amrep will be used for routes at other contracts or no? How many of those trucks do they have? That tipping mechanism was a little painful to watch lol. So the yard waste/trash get mixed and landfilled right?
The Amreps will stick around for now but I don't know if they will use them on any other routes as regular trucks. I believe anything that gets mixed is then taken to the yard and dumped on the mixed waste line.
That red crane contraption seems overcomplicated. Why not just three axis of movement with a simple cylindrical reach volume. And the end effector is tedious to align.
Cool video Easton and Harvey are driving it they were in a new Peter belt ZR they were in at ZR last Tuesday after a holiday then Wednesday in Yorba Lina.
Well this sure is interesting! I actually filmed this truck a few months ago back when it worked out of st Augustine and did St. John’s county. I’ve always thought you guy needed more Macks, but not exactly these 😂 Great work to you and Harvey!
I saw the video from curotto can man, pretty cool to have filmed the same truck as you guys. Yea this was a pretty interesting surprising as I would never expect any macks or pythons here. Thanks for the comment
Seems like this python traveled across the country. Since most drivers in Anaheim are used to Right Hand Drive and this Python is Left Hand Drive, will Republic try to convert this truck to RHD? What are their plans for the python?
Well this was certainly unexpected! Arm has some decent speed but jeez it would suck driving this for 8+ hours when you're used to RHD and a Rapid Rail arm
Surprised me to see this on your Instagram this morning, certainly feels out of place in Orange County but the palm trees are similar to Florida haha. Cool to see this truck on Rotos!
Very unique truck for Republic Services to run in socal, rightfully so due to the three cart system and just like you mentioned there is no spacing. Happy you caught this rarity and its cool to see a Python over the DP Rapid Rails, these trucks are nuch cooler for me haha. They handeled the Python well, another factor that makes this truck not good for mutliple cart stops is that the arm speed fluctuates whenever the blade retracts, most drivers I know here try not to pick up cans when the blade retracts due to the possibility of incidents. So glad you caught lots of footage of this!
I’ve noticed in your videos the drivers with pythons often struggle with cart lines, so I imagine its far worse here considering our drivers aren’t use to pythons. And yea I was super happy to have been able to grab a video of this truck. Thanks for the comment
@@DanielWDonuts Did the drivers give their view on the arm/packer operation. It's definitely much different than operating a rapid rail, these things are much better at knocking things over!
Damn nice! Cool to see Republic transferring trucks across the country. I’m still trying to figure out where 2410 went from my local yard, someone told me it ended up in Anaheim but I’m not 100% sure. I do know 2409 ended up at Gardena and another sibling unit 2407 ended up at Fort Collins (aka Gallegos Sanitation). All 3 of those trucks are of course the mini LR M/A’s my yard bought. They sent them away as St Paul is going with FCC soon…
2410 and 2409 are at Gardena. I guess we will have to see how FCC handles St Paul but considered they majorly messed up in St Augustine barely a month into the contract only time will tell.
Great video Daniel! I actually met Gilbert when he was at Republic lol, didn't know he switched companies. Wasn't expecting Ware to buy Battle Motors but they seem to be buying whatever new or used trucks they can. Definitely interested to see what they will do for La Habra Heights.
Wow. Ware Disposal Collects in Monterey Park now? That’s crazy that Athens is losing contracts too, not just WM. Great video though, I love the Battle Motors Amrep.
