Obessesed with being on the water at all times. I mainly target crappie, but I'll fish for anything that swims. I also post some boating videos too. Hope you enjoy the channel!
Be sure to read the video description for info on lures used that day, rod/reel/line, location, camera gear, conditions, and more!

What head unit are u using? Your color pallet which i assume is amber is much different than mine. Im running a gt-56 and an ultra 106. Your picture is mucch clearer and brighter
Man, this brings back memories. I grew up catching crappie on Watts Bar. Old Rockwood boy here banished to the wilds of RVA. Can't wait to get back someday.
Thank you for the information sir, this is very useful videos, I am India Tamil Nadu sir, I want to latest GPS map I have one boat so please help me for this time
If i pull the spring all the way back and hook the opening it pinches the line and wont slide if i come up a lil on spring it slides but falls off alot
Have you tried running your 93sv on your gt56 transducer instead of your gt54? Just got my 93sv with the 54 transducer and im not over the moon about it. Wasnt sure if its the screen resolution on the more affordable 93sv unit or if it was the 54 transducer.
I can't get my clearvu to show much... 2d will say fish and sidevu will show a fish in the water colom. Clear shows maybe a dot, or nothing at all. I'm struggling with it, the reservoirs i fish have heavy boat traffic and the levels keep changing. Water isn't very clear, IT'S A STRUGGLE.
I heard from some other forum that you might increase the contrast and othervise they recoemmended this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Juok5yoLO_s.html Good luck!
@@FloppingCrappie Thanks for the quick response. I bought an ACC Crappie Stix and was recommended your channel. The ACC crappie stix are okay, I think they are a little too stiff for crappie fishing though. Wished I got something different honestly. You need the flex, so you don’t rip it out of their paper mouths.
@@FloppingCrappie I got the 7”6 2 piece spinning rod. I got it to get out farther, being I’m a bank fisherman. I like how light it is, just wished the tip had a little more flex. I can’t throw out far with a 1/32 oz jigs. Don’t like to add split shots, it makes the jig fall to fast. To me it’s more of a vertical jigging rod. Guess I’m going to get me a Shakespeare micro series. They got a great tip and good back bone.
@RussFishes4fun the 7ft and 6ft one piece are much more of a light action rod capable of throwing the smaller 1/32 oz. Jigs. I mostly use the 7'6 for 1/8oz + jigs for crappie and walleye
Good job Davis. That's probably one of the best videos I've seen that explains side imaging and down imaging in great detail. Thanks for that. Now I've gotta go do some tweaking to my 93sv.
In the zoom settings, you can adjust the magnification of the zoom box. You can also adjust this by pinching your fingers on the screen to zoom in and out while inside the zoom box. Be aware that the screen will show a certain level of blurriness if you try to zoom in to far, this is due to pixel size on the screen.
@@FloppingCrappie Thanks. New to this. If ever in NE MS I'd love to fish my home lake (Lake Lamar Bruce Saltillo MS) with you. Excellent crappie and big bass. First hand lessons on live scope and side imaging would be great. Free room and board!
You may want to check if you have the range set to auto in the settings menu. Otherwise, there might be an issue with the touchscreen that is causing the range to shrink to 34 feet.
Do you have issues when you add people in the boat? Leveling the boat with a driver is different than when you have passengers. Do you have any tips for that or pick which one you do more of and run it?
Love the videos. I would make one suggestion. When talking about a topic stick to it specifically. When you have two images of sonar going and you in the video talking and referring back and forth about all the sonar images and frequencies it gets confusing. It almost sounds like rambling because of there being so much information. For me personally I tend to glaze over mentally trying to absorb everything visually and mentally. Lots of great information. Keep it up.
@Flopping Crappie Great video. I still have troubling feeling confident that I'm seeing crappie on my fish finder. This was more helpful to me than the "watch me fish" videos everyone else wants to do on RU-vid. I was surprised to see the crappie suspended away from the brush pile in both images. I've always been looking for them/expecting them, to be surrounding or inside the brush pile. Is this common?
I'm outfitting a 14 foot aluminum V-bottom. Small outboard (no 12 volt battery charging options) and a 6 year old deep cycle battery. I'll be fishing one freshwater lake I know well, so mapping not needed. I'll be fishing bridges, brush piles and sunken timber. My targets will be catfish, crappie, sand bass and hybrids. Price doesn't matter, I can afford the best. I just need a new unit simple enough for an old man to use, without any features I'll never use or figure out. This will be my cheap retirement fishing package that will only be used occasionally on nice days to restock the freezer. A suggestion from you or your viewers would be super helpful! Thanks.
I would suggest the Garmin echomap 93sv with Gt56 transducer. The is a high definition transducer that will give you a clear picture with side imaging to show whatever fish you're targeting. It is also capable of connecting to Livescope if that is something you may be interested in later
