7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 King James Version....
I get where you are coming from, but that is just a weak argument. Our ancestors did not walk only on soft grass and sand. They needed to run various terrains. Hard pebbles sharp sticks and all kind of rough terrains
Please make more of these pool exercise videos! I’m trying to find ways to work out in this hot weather inspired by my pool!! I used both of your videos posted so far along with some big steps around the pool to start putting together a routine.
The difference is that when you run barefoot the muscles and tendons of youre feet take up the load and then after they take the load they spring back and propel you forward, youre foot is like a spring, you land on front foot then midfoot and then lightly land on youre heel so the muscles and tendons absorb the shock instead of cushion (I didnt enjoy running until i started running barefoot, once you get the technique right running becomes so much more fun, efficient, faster, and less painful)
i got an injured biceps tendon doing dragon boat is that normal? I can't tell if i got it on pull or because when i went for teh recovery part the blade hit the water and caused a strain on the tendon the way back... what do u recommend to strengthen and prevent this?
Just started and reaching is a big problem for me, which puts a lot of load on my shoulders, tiring me out very fast. Definitely going to do this exercise daily!
@@ryanbalmesdpt oh yeah lol between walking on hot asphalt and in the woods barefoot but then I got those shoes you were talking about and that changed my life forever. I still get the comfortability of not wearing feet prisons while still protecting my feet.
team headphones for me, often i even wear them without having anything playing in the background due to how easily overstimulated i get by loud noises because of my adhd, and having them just block out the noise a bit helps a ton with it!!
It kinda hurts after a little while and I can't do it well for long. Are there any other tests for this one in particular?. I don't know if it's something wrong or just cause I haven't used for a while
Yeah we have not intention of being the definitive expert on the origins. We can let the historians speak on this. We're just a few guys who wants to help you get started with the sport!
Your thoughts on battling rope I use along with my SkiErg. Personally I noticed increased paddling strength the more I use the battling rope in my workouts.
This is truly "old school" dragon boat technique that will destroy your shoulders. The problem is the top arm. When the top arm is extended like that it is only supported by the rotator cuff muscles which are very small and relatively weak. If you drive that top arm down from that extended position you eventually will injure yourself. Look at the best paddlers out there, the Tahitians, and you will see less rotation and less height on that top arm. With the top arm slightly bent and lower it is supported by the larger muscles around the shoulder and much less prone to injury.
I’ve had this chair for a year and am ready to pitch it. Lumbar support is non-existent, the seat is extremely uncomfortable, you can feel the metal bars under the seat(I weigh less than 190 lbs) it’s like sitting on a rock. I thought I would adjust to it but no. Long term review don’t consider it unless you give it to someone you don’t like. 😂
You got it. Physics wise, you'll have to use your legs and feet to "anchor" into the boat. This way when you pull on the paddle in the water the boat will move forward. How you brace your legs in the boat will all depend on preference (digging in the heel for hamstring activation vs pushing your knees out against the boat)
Curious as to how much weight you are put on the cable. Pulling the water probably is not too heavy and pulling higher weight might make things easier. Of course too much weight is going to slow down your exercise I would think.
Don't over extend your shoulders like that, it will give you shoulder injury especially where you use as your digging arm. Digging arm shouldn't be over extended. I follow your advice now it gives me shoulder pain.
I recently bought the same too. Problem is I feel the seat is too far forward resulting in lower back arching somewhat. Very uncomfortable for lower back. Or, is it just me and my body type? Wife is ok with the chair. No adjustments for the seat to be moved back that I can see.
