This is so sweet! Thank you for being so patient and gaining his trust 🥹♥️ He loves you so much by the end of the video. Granny in heaven must be proud!
My cat hissed at me when I brought him home. He was scared and hid behind everything. I left out water and food. I left him alone to unwind. He roamed the house at his own pace. It took a couple of days of peek outs and shy eyes. I talked and sang to him softly. We have many toys to play with together. He requires petting, but not all the time. His favorite thing now is to lay upside down for his picture. Animals require that 6 ft. rule just like us. Along with love and appreciation. Patience is the key.
You should leave his cage door open and lie on the floor on your back with a bowl of cat food on your chest. Wait for him to come to you and get used to you
This is just how God approaches us. We are the feral cat, who can’t see His love yet. It doesn’t help that the devil is there as well, luring us with his own distractions - deceitful, so-called “toys,” “food,” and “comfort” that are at first more appealing, but ultimately are deeply harmful and make us more distrustful of God, or more doubtful that He even exists. I was an atheist for a long time, and know this personally. Life clicks into place when you get to know the one, true Catholic God. It’s a trillion times better, with peace and joy even in very difficult circumstances. To hear God, cultivate silence in your life, pray to Him, read the Bible, pray the Rosary & ask Mary (the mother of Jesus) to guide you, and find the traditional Latin Mass in the Catholic Church. God longs to heal us and share His beautiful, gentle love with us. May God bless and guide you and your loved ones.
Why didn't you take the white cat or better yet both of them in? I don't understand how you could just let them go like that. They would have been in my house so fast it would have made your head spin! Now Lord only knows what's happened to the white cat if she is still alive or not. It just breaks my effing heart that people sometimes make the wrong choice. 😭
You burn too much step, that is why it take so long to gain his trust. First of all, the cat is not angry, but scared to death. You do not know his past, it could suffer from a very traumatic events with humans. You pushed to hard to get the reaction you wanted, without taking in consideration what he tell you or why he react like that. It take you too much time to hold the lock. While the noise startled him instantly. You can not just walk in his space wanting to take his bed or somthing at his level. Food is the best way to gain the trust of a cat, but you contain him in a small space where he is traped. Maybe you can not afford or have the space for that, but it is a fact that take a huge part on why he is so aggressive. Is you want the treat to work, you must show him that it is not a threat. Like putting a little on the plastic and leave, so the cat can move without fear and smell and taste it. And each time you put some closer, but not too much to make him uncomfortable. That way he will recognise it. A bath or cleanning the enclosure can wait until he is completly comfortable. You are lucky that the cat is smarter. It could have fail and take many month to being able to pet him. Glad it turn out for the best. And it is amazing that you have rescue him. But next time, maybe make some research. It is easier with a feral kiten than a feral adult. 😊
