Where do you launch from to access this area of the lake?
@piedmontfishing824
@piedmontfishing824 5 дней назад
@@joefish63 I normally launch at the Conley Creek Access or the Lakeside Park Access beside the Granite Falls Water Treatment Plant. In the fall and winter most stripers on the lake will be between the Conley Creek Access and the dam. Hope this helps, I usually start striper fishing about the first of October thru April and they are normally in that area of the lake. Hit me up about mid October and hopefully I’ll have a good idea what area of the lake they are in.

Have you done much trolling in summer? What’s the bite like. New to fishing Rhodhiss
@piedmontfishing824
@piedmontfishing824 Месяц назад
@@CUSTOMCALLS no I don’t troll much after about May. It should be good but they will be deeper. I stay off the lake once the wakeboard boats, pontoons, and jet skis get out. I usually start back around Labor Day and it’s good then even though the water is still warm.

Well, I see this video is already 3 years old. But for information purposes only for interested people. As for pole holders, Wilderness # 8023783 can be mounted in plenty good places if desired. Or there is Pelican #PS0649-3-00. Both I believe are angled. Or plenty of flush mount holders on the net or amazon. This is the beauty of not having already formed pole holders. You can put them where you want. Choice of angled or straight in one's. Most people have the rear milk crate with the holders mounted to it. I like to have 1 holder behind the seat left side, I keep my net there handy.

@piedmontfishing824
@piedmontfishing824 6 месяцев назад
Right now most fish are below Castle Bridge, but that is changing rapidly as the weather warms up. The fish will scatter a bit more in the coming weeks. Stripers could be anywhere but will be close to the birds. Bass and Crappie will start moving in the creek channels staging for the spawn.

Check Duke Energy’s website. They don’t list Rhodhiss but list Bridgewater which is upstream and Oxford which is downstream so 8 out of 10 times Rhodhiss will fall right in the middle of those two. I enjoyed your video and sorry for the equipment failure. I don't believe going to the heavier tackle will affect your catch rate and it sure gives a measure of assurance. If you want to use small tackle get a pair of round nose pliers and stainless wire and bend your own, not hard to do. Go to a bigger size wire than those small ones are made of.
