If it's Spectrum... It's broken.!! I've got 5 Arrma's & NONE of them have their stock elecronics left in them.! Granted I live in Scotland & rain is totally our thing... But I do expect an ESC to last more than one run in the rain.!! Hobbywing ESCs are my go to.! Spectrum ESCs & servos are seriously bad... Motors are okay.. Ish & radio gear is passable, but not exactly great.! Spectrum motors are about as good as a cheap Surpass KK series motor but nowhere near as good as a Rocket series.!
@@TestDriverRC true that My girlfriend tried out my street car for the first time yesterday, which is a lot faster than my off-road cars she’s used to, long story short she went full speed 40-50 mph across an empty parking lot and managed to find the one leg a guy stretching in the parking lot had on the ground. Funniest part about it is I had just told her stop and she panicked and held full throttle against the guys leg for a good 5 secs
Hear me out. Im not saying arrma is the best. Traxxas by example is way more durable. But the arrma design is so intelligent. I love their modular build
Granite Grom has a Smaller Pinion so its Torque off the Line is Much Better. Add Lighter Wheels with High Treads on a Shorter Chassis… The Truck is Perfect
Absolutely! You’ll need a 2.0mm pinion for the 2n1 motor esc. The stock pinion is a 2.3mm inner diameter. Make sure to get a MOD 0.5 and 16T fits the stock motor mount.
You should consider getting a No Superior Designs RC RS450 high torque servo or a Shift RC 45kg. both are good budget Servos for 60 dollars. EcoBoost 30kg is the cheapest servo I would go for 48 dollars. Or a REEF-RC RAW 500 if you don't care about the price. The Spektrum S652 servo is going to stall out on the rocks. It is not that great only producing 18kg of torque claimed but only produces 13kg of torque.1/10 scale crawlers need lots of torque to properly crawl. Ideally 30kg or 400 oz-in of torque and up. I like the Yellow Jeep body. Is that the Proline 12.3" body? I just bought the Proline 12.8 Jeep body. Can't wait to paint and mount it.
Out of all the designing that goes on to build an RC I am yet to see one with a good design to have an 80% chance when rolled over to make it back on to its wheels. They are all square and flat designed to be upside down. Bring back the beetle shaped cars.
Absolutely good info on the mesh . Also I’ve had a few that get tighter as spur rotates so I always check for a good mesh all the way around . It was a learning experience for sure .
