Just installed this soft close kit on my model Y. Very straight forward (use your own spanners, the ones in the kit are not the best) and took me less than an hour - which includes preparation time, multiple views of the install video and chatting to the neighbour who was interested in what I was doing. Marking the position of the lock before removing it is a great tip. The soft close worked first time. I've tried it about ten times now and works well and the car is not complaining about any problems. The metalwork in the kit seems good quality and sturdy. Overall I am very pleased as I was never happy about the way you have to close the bonnet with the special hand position. Now, no worries.
I have updated to the latest software-2024 Model Y Long Range-and the battery percentage is stuck at 99%. Will there be another update soon to correct this?
The display stopped working after updating the software on the Tesla service. The screen tries to turn on, shows the tlyard logo and goes out. Maybe you know how to solve the problem?
Just installed mine. Was a bit different. No shim part in my box,no in line controller box, my battery post was very different. Overall pretty easy took a few adjustments to get hood height back the right way and taking into consideration that once frunk tub is back in the height is a smidge higher so I errored on the lower side in the end and it came out perfect once all was reassembled. Very quiet operation. Hope it lasts a long time. I ipted for this brand vs the aliX stuff for half the price as I have seen a couple and they are super noisy and seem to have a lot more movement which I felt was unnecessary. Package came with all parts just loose in a box kinda floating around so that could for sure be improved please. Took 45min with all adjustments made in end.
If you're looking for this, it means you have a Model 3 Highland (the current production which are stalkless), then the product description says it is for the Model 3 Highland.
@@edgarchieng2130 I was watching this because the absence of the physical turn is real problematic for me in my model 3. And if i’m not mistaken this solution is new. My only question was if the autor knew if there was something planned for the standard model 3. But if we are just limited to watch only video about our own vehicule, i think i have the wrong using of RU-vid.

Seit dem letzten Update von Tesla geht die Reichweiten anzeige und der Batteriestand nicht mehr. Der Batterzstandsanzeige steht auf 79% und ist dort eingefrorren und die Restreichweite stimmt auch nicht mehr und geht rjnter und rauf. Könnten sie mir ein Update zusenden oder einen link wo ich diese erhalte???

Hello I just bought this refrigerator for my model Y and when I installed it like you showed in this video, the display just says ''Er6''. Do you know what could be the issue?
It does NOT work on Model S, because the nag notification in Model S cannot be undone by turning the scroll wheel. This product will only work if you can eliminate the nog by turning the scroll wheel. The Model S does not support that.
Hi :) The original screw position of modelS is different from that of modelX, but the installation principle of the electric suction lock is the same, you can refer to it.

@tlyard Are there plans to be able to customize the order of the buttons via firmware update and/or app? I think the order of the buttons would fit my needs and would definitely be buying the product. I personally don't think the Passenger door button in position 1 is the smartest thing since I can see people accidentally hitting it accidentally which I don't know may cause issues if you are out on the road. I think the Passenger door button should be in position 12 for safety reasons.
*RHD Hack* Pushing the third and fourth buttons up on a LHD unit and holding them for three seconds and until the unit's display flashes will change the first button so that it opens the left side doors. Although this will be correctly reflected on the main Tesla screen, it will not be correctly reflected on the unit's display.
Yeah for RHD the door button opener works correctly. But how about the left passenger's seat adjustment buttons (button 6 and 7). It moves the right driver's side's door instead. Are there any firmware updates that will fix this? adjust the passenger's seats instead of the driver's.
The seat adjustment buttons will operate whichever seat you connect the wires to. Connect the wires to the left seat and the buttons will operate the left seat. Mine works perfectly.
*Two additional features.* *1 -* Although pressing the third button down does turn the rear heating/cooling on and off, pushing the third button up turns the front face level vents on and off and is indicated by the middle LED on the next (fourth) button. *2 -* There are two USBC sockets on the back of the switch unit which are for updates. I am told that a bonnet (frunk) opening update is pending.
