You would have used 'give it a cut' not give it a notch because you are explaining notch. You don't use word to explain a word. Very educative video, thank you

1. It gives it a beautiful design (choice) 2. It helps keep the elastic in place so that it can never twist the other way round, that you'll now have to be resetting it 3. The gathers formed will be evenly distributed. Some parts will not gather more than the other I hope this is clear?

How on earth did I not subscribe to this Wonderful channel❤ I recommend this channel to every aspiring fashion designer. Yoncee Thrills to the World!!🎉🎉🎉
Great tutorial I have been asked to make my daughter-in-laws wedding gown, she wants it to have an ‘inverted’ Empire line (it goes up in an upside down V in the centre of the front bodice) I was wondering how to do it without a pattern, this tutorial gives me an idea, but I wondered if you had, or could do a tutorial on how to do it? Getting the hemline straight is daunting, especially as it is gathered Chiffon, a fabric I hate sewing with 😱😱
Good tutorial, I have 2 queries 1. From shoulder to chest line (Arm hole) after dropping 1” from shoulder line would it be 7” instead of 8”? (You measured 8” down before you dropped 1” for shoulder slope) or is it still 8”? 2. On the 2” zipper allowance, do we still have to come in •5” at the waist? (to avoid bulging of the zipper) Thank you.
Thanks alot. 1. Yes it will drop to 7" but it won't affect it because connecting it to your bust circumference will still widen it. 2. Yes take out 0.5, I did that in a separate tutorial 👇 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X_-xQl1VHFE.htmlsi=5XGLvCnORpzGEyKp Some take out up to 1", depending on how curvy your backside is. But after taking the 1" out, you need to replace it back to the side. If not, your waist will be too snatched and zip may spoil
Ma, please, what exactly am i doing wrong. When i sewed the zipper, after wearing the top, i noticed the zipper was always bent. It doesn't lay straight at my back. Also, even after removing 0.5 from the back i still have zipper bodge.
Ok. Is the fabric stretchy? Did you make sure to follow the new zipper allowance line that will definitely curve in towards the waist while sewing the zip? Also, If you are very curvy, try using 1" instead of 0.5".
