Somehow I can't help feeling these guys missed something big time. I have heard a a lot of good about Racechip and I have been considering it for my normally aspirated Miata (could use more torque) and for my 2.0l turbo Skoda Superb (Czech "Audi A6"). If you read the manual, you have to drive for 120km (or miles?) before it has fully decided on all the parameter values. There's also an engine warm-up timer with I think default value 5 minutes before which time it is inactive. It sounds to me like these guys fitted it and then immediately expected a miracle. Unfortunately sitting on a couch and bitching because you didn't understand what you bought isn't compelling content. I won't be subscribing. Oh - and one last question - why would you expect a single board computer to be heavy? It doesn't need a power supply, - the car provides it, there's no hard drive, only a processor, some RAM and some writeable program/parameter memory with specific software for the engine you're running. It's been designed to cope with temperatures in an engine bay so no active cooling. Does your laptop get heavier when you add software? 😅 Sorry, not impressed.
My butt dyno says it doesn't work... Did you put it on a dyno and prove it doesn't work? No.... Did you install it thinking it was gonna be a sub 10 second car after? How do you know it didn't adjust the torque curve at the high end, and not the lower end? I've watched 20 videos of the chips on a dyno and every single one got between 20-50whp gains from it. Hard to believe you two when evidence says otherwise.
I have RACECHIP RS INSTALLED IN MY KIA PROCEED I FEEL IT HAD SOME HP AND NM ,but not been to dyno hoping to dyno it sooner but you review is a fake i don't believe u guys u are lied
What’s your background and experience to rate this chips? I had Racechip on a GTD on the dyno and car made serious gains.. But yeah listen to two guys just coming off the scooter
RACE CHIP is junk! Stay well and clear away from it! Yes you get increased performance but NOT smooth performance! It is not made for you car specifically! All engines are different! Very unsmooth and twitchy engine from this junk! And noone else can go into the box and fix it!
I got to... Doesn't weigh much... less than half a pound um... good, less weight is good... a smart phone is less than a pound and can do higher functioning computations than what is needed to tune a car not even going to finish the rest of this video
Lol, 😂 firstly the RaceChip is a trash. $25 item being sold for 100s. Pity people falling this for scam. Secondly you guys review sucks and you have zero knowledge on tuning.
my Sportage CRDi 184 bhp becomes a crazy toy with the raceship on!!! Amazing difference, More response and more power, better gas mileage. I LOV IT ! Same on my Montero Sport before . Big difference . And with only basic raceship.
It's computer chip not a turbo charger so its not heavy. Also they suggested open the hood, closed the door leave the key about 30 feet away, let the car powered down for at least 10 minutes before the installation.😮
Wish I had seen this before I bought mine - for a Fiat Abarth. Was a bit of a pain to install as one of the sensors was under the battery box so had to remove that. Which also requires removing the ECU - took about an hour to tear it all apart. Got it in and 1) would not connect to the app at all. tried every trick I could think of to get it to connect. NADA 2) threw multiple codes and got a CEL - disconnected the battery, still had codes. Cleared codes with my OBD2 reader and they just would come back. At one point car would barely run, luckily I was uphill from my house and was able to coast it into the driveway. Took all the racechip stuff out and car is back to normal. Maybe I got lucky and got a bad unit - but it's out and I'm hoping to return it. Doesn't help that they are in Germany so customer support is like a day turn around time.
How come here are so many positive experiences, I bought the middle one for e200 cgi and I prettymuch feel same as the video says. Didnt give any boost, throttle response was worse and less predictable.
Basically....these idiots couldn't figure out how to properly install and program their purchase, so it's automatically "Crap!"😂😂 I bet the box of blocks with the shape holes, their mom got them, was "Crap" too!!😂😂😂
NO Tuner chip can DIAGNOSE an existing problem in a vehicle. Get a professional tune, to be sure everything is working for best performance. Will a Tuner chip be worth the investment after a custom tune? Probably NOT. Existing problems can be fuel delivery, intake air flow, exhaust restrictions, sensor performance and calibration.
These guys may have had some issues, but they lose their credibility by being rude, and severely misinformed. The first thing that caught my attention was the weight comment. LOL
The comments here speak for themselves, overwhelmingly positive experience with this chip tune. Thanks for posting this video to elicit people's actual experience.
Maybe you just got a bad tuner I’d sent it back in and got another device! 🤦♂️🙄 99.9 percent of the videos I see online are people talking about how much of a difference it made. I’ve watched people data logging 3.7 0-60 on a M340i XDrive with the GTS Black went to 3.2 seconds and shaved 0.5 seconds off the quarter mile. I was typing this message and when the fat one said I wouldn’t buy this race chip I thought oh here he goes about to recommend some Amazon or EBay made in India tuner. When he said I just wouldn’t buy one I thought wow he wasn’t gonna plug his bullshit device low and behold if 20 seconds later the fat one didn’t cut to some $49.99 peace of sh|t device y’all sell on your Amazon drop ship page that you buy from India for $4.99 and resell for $49.99🥸🤪🤦♂️
I have had 1 racechip and 1 other tuning chip from a company called TDI-tuning, TDI in my A200 and Racechip in my X1 20i Xdrive. The A-Class A200 went from 163bhp to 205bhp, went from 8.1 0-60 to 6.9... a HUGE improvment, also from 40mpg to 48mpg, another hude change. My X1 with the B48 engine went from 192 BHP to 235BHP, and from 7.4 0-60 time to a 6.7 0-60 time, again, big change in performance and gains in efficenct. The tuning chip is basically an external Stage 1, instead of changing the code in the ECU to allow for more boost and fuel throughput, they trick the existing ECU to give more power externally. They're very smart devices and i cannot recommend them enough
I have GTS and XLR's on a 2018 2.2 Diesel Ford Ranger, and 2015 2.2 Diesel Santa Fe, the Santa Fe since 2017, and the Ranger since 2018, I am so satisfied with both. Maybe you guys did something wrong. Sorry for your problem.
That stock audi hp is rigged for taxes and economy idk reasons so really you gained 30hp but your ass won't notice it since everytime you sit there you'll lose 40nm of torque
