Riff Raff Jazz channel is about Mercedes car repairs and now Rolls Royce Silver Spirit, the repairs are done as needed on my own cars. As I used to be a musician the channel also features music videos old and new.
I stand with this site, paid $41.98 for the pdf mercedes benz manual in May 6th 2024, was totally useless on the search bar plus came with unwanted promo pup-ups and ads, tried to get a refund within the hour of paying and all they said was "sorry no refunds" I missed seeing this video so I could have avoided this SCAM, PLEASE AVOID THIS E-MANUALONLINE, ended up buying Haynes book, may not be the best one but at least usable with no Pop-ups with Promos and ADS.
Hi @riffraffjazz, (aka Paul). I have just come across your video. This may sound a little random but i like the Rolls Royce. I once owned a 1973 Shadow all but briefly and have regretted selling it ever since. I’m not sure if you still have this rolls or not but if you ever think of selling. Please keep me in mind. The Shadows have gone up in price a lot which is a shame so I’m thinking about getting a Spirt. I’d really love a Rolls again to keep long term and take my kids to car shows and just enjoy as a weekend driver
Awesome video. I dove into my '91 300e to attempt camshaft seal and timing cover gasket change today, but the 4th bolt (bottom left) is hidden by two hard lines. I cant find any way to unbolt. In your car, i see that there is one hard Line (cooling pipe?) in front of that bolt also, but it's spaced farther away. Do you remember if you had to move anything to get that timing cover bolt?
I just loosened that bolt that holds the line in and moved it as far as I could. I was able to wiggle it out and wiggle it back in. It’s a really tight fit but it’ll work.
@@justinb3560 I tried again but couldn't get my wratchet in there. The socket sits crooked, I think I may need to remove the belt and fan to get to this bolt. She's awesome to work on except in certain situations 😅
They’re a scam, they DO NO advertise that you have to download a whole different software (VirtualBox) to run this software. It’s not even a Emanual it’s a whole software. You download it and then once you try to open it, it won’t so you check sites FAQs then finally it tells you what to do, I never agreed to downloading virtual box for this to work. Then you go get a refund and wouldn’t you know it… they’re refund policy says once you download it there’s no returns…. Fuckin scam I can’t believe this is legal
My 1989 R129 SL poor idle, was cured by changing the over volt protection relay, the ABS light flickered on and off a couple of times, took ages of research to nail it down.
I loved your video RIffraff jazz! Very helpful. Wondering if you have or can do a video on rebuilding the chain tensioner on your 81 Mercedes? I have a 1989 300SE and the manual instructions are somewhat vague, and the videos I found are for a different type and don't help.
So changing the o2 sensor totally fixed the flat throttle response issue? Or was there other issues to begin with? Mine is not starting cold or hot. Good fuel pressure & supply (new pump & fuel filter) to the fuel distributor 0 to the injectors tho. Starts easily with a splash of gas to the intake
Many thanks for the video. I am/was about to do this on a 1980 SlC here in California. I loosened both bolts but the starter motor is in the way of a full removal of the bolt. Did you just knock the bolt out with force or was it easy(er) given that yours is aRHD model. All the best down under, Markus
How do you determine if the mechanical Bosch fuel injection needs a rebuild? This one is a 1990 300E in otherwise superb condition. A mechanic has endlessly fiddled with the air fuel adjustment. It is hard to start and has zero acceleration from a standstill. Once up to speed, it goes pretty good.
I just got blessed with a 2000 clk430 for 10 chochlate chip cookies 😆. Windows don't go down. Spewing something after driving but I guess I will have to not only be a detailer but will need to become Mercedes-Benz chick mechanic lol. Should of only paid , 5 chochlate chip cookies😆😆😆😆🤣🤣accepting donations lol
I Been leaving battery disconnected car stars leave battery connected a day or two want start I change relay starting to think mabe have a bad abs model what do you think
Found out the same thing. Downloaded the .pdf, but it's not easily navigated (and it turns out I got the wrong manual (my fault). Contacted support and they responded offering a link to download their virtual box, open OVA file, etc....which would apparently give me the content I need. I've decided not to pursue this. Disappointed they don't simply provide everything in one.
Hi, I have an R129 SL and I suppose I have the same mechanism just like the W124. My small issue is that my brake pedal is a little bit loose. When I engage the praking brake(havent counted the number of clicks yet but I suppose I have at least 8clicks or so) it holds right. But when I disengage it the pedal itself is loose so the parking brake light comes up and stays on, just like if it was engaged. Do you think I have to make the same adjustment you did here in this video? Lift the car and adjust these two cables? To make the brake pedal go all the way up when I disengage the brake? Thanks and Kind regards from Hungary :)
@@riffraffjazz yesterday I lifted the car and crawled under it and yes the cables are quite hard so maybe I have to make them loose. And I have also counted the clicks. I have 6 clicks. Next time I will give it a try.
