I know this is a late reply. The factory engines are dynoed at the crank, with full accessories, and the full stock exhaust. Taking this into account, these rear wheel numbers aren't bad at all.
Great video and very informative 👍🏻... I have 95 c4 corvette has rough idel and makes a pinging popping sound... I have changed 02 SENSORS, EGR, TPS, IAC, MAP SENSOR and the sensor that screws into the front of the waterpump... but it still runs the same.... any ideas? Please don't say it's the Optispark... Lol
Ok I unplugged it started but was definitely worse and the check engine light came on... so I turned it off plugged it back and restored.. engine light is off but still makes the popping pinging out the exhaust
I have a 96 FE1 with FHA front spring and NYU rear ready to go in. I also have a 30mm front sway bar and will keep the FE1 24 mm rear sway bar. My shocks? I have VBP Extreme shocks that I may have to upgrade to Ridetechs later. So, it sounds like I am on the right track? Couple questions, what tires do you run and is your car lowered any?
Great video! How does the car drive on the street after the alignment shims are removed? Installed in the sway bar mount the bar clamps the shims free up sway bar movement, correct?
Just did my 1st auto x at Manheim Auto Auction, was just in time to walk the course and attend the drivers meeting, I did not have time to set up my camera in the car but basically I was the slowest car on the course, I did go from a 79's to 68's by my last run, I was going to go out in the afternoon but my power steering seemed like it was over heating, steering was fine after I let it cool down and drove home. Fastest times where in the 50's
The reason I want to change the crankshaft is because my car starts then chots off, already change the fuel pump and filter the oil temp gage,coil and ignition sensor,fuel injectors,starts right up but shots off,
Good information but where is the crankshaft and camshafts sensors located on the LT1 engine, have a 92 Corvette and can't find the camshaft sensor can any body show me their location.
@@shawnbauman5463 thank you for the information just want to comment that I put brand-new fuel injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, ignition sending unet,new coil.still engine stops running, check the fuses there all good fuel relay good,just can think of anything else,to fix it.
IDK about nose heavy weight distribution is nearly 50/50. Yeah I hope those are way better track cars. They benefit from two decades of engineering advancement over the C4 which dates to the late 70's.
Can confirm. I upgraded my FE1 set up to a Z51 set up. Bilsteins and used leafs F and R. It made a massive difference. I still have the stock sway bars tho, but that is next on the list. Out of curiosity, is that 36mm sway bar OEM or is it aftermarket? Great vid! -Luis
They are better on a track. Difference on a autox course base C5 to a C4 not so much. They are only about 100lbs heavier than a base C5. Balance is nearly 50/50 on all generation Corvettes other than big block cars or the C8.
