Brandon Morrow threw 6 pitches in this game, they went- Homerun, single, strike, double, wild pitch, homerun. Four runs on six pitches, easily the worst pitching performance of all time.
Tainted season perhaps, but this team has proved over and over again how good they are with or with out the sign stealing thing, I’m glad they were able to get that monkey off their back in 22.
The Astros cheated "throughout the Postseason" in 2017, so Altuve knew what pitch was coming. (See MLB report Page 3, para. 2). img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-images/image/upload/mlb/cglrhmlrwwbkacty27l7.pdf The cheating employed by the Astros in 2017 taints everything. If a team can sit back on all off speed pitches and foul off anything near the strike zone, it makes it very difficult for a pitcher to do anything on 3-2 except throw a strike and hope they miss. Kershaw threw 51 off speed pitches and the Astros swung and missed at ZERO of them. Someone ran a computer sim, and the odds of that happening were 128,061 to 1. So it would take 4266 years and it MIGHT happen again. That's not even baseball anymore.
The astros fielding was legendary. Pitching unreal and hitting, while on the road might I add rivaled the 27 yanks.. Murderers row- One of the greatest teams assembled. PERIOD
After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, the Astros 2017 Playoff run gave them those hit the hardest hope and took their minds off their struggles. The Astros did it for H-Town.
What is so scary to think about is how good our development team is if we can keep doing like how we were able to do for tucker and Peña and yordan being able find these young guys who can turn a team around with our farm system if we continue it can last a long time where we are still the best team in baseball
never really noticed or though the change for a pinch runner but definetly, Fisher did what he was supposed to do, really glad he was in the right moment.
My grandmother was a lifelong Astros fan (she passed away in 2012 when they were losing 100+ games a year) that is smiling in Heaven from all that they have accomplished in the past 6 years. Personally, I'm happiest obviously for Dusty Baker, but also for Trey Mancini with all he has been through with colon cancer (it's a shame his contributions to the Astros in his short tenure have been so marginalized). But the real star was definitely Jeremy Peña....!
The past is the past. What can they say now? I'm sure they'll find a way to hate on us. We don't care if the rest of the hypocritical MLB league or the baseball world ever forgives us or not. No one ever really cared about Houston teams in the rest of the sports world even before 2017. Only us hardcore Houston fans understand. But it doesn't matter to us. We're family down here in the H. Just about every team has cheated one way or another at some time or another. Not that it is right, it's not. No cheating at all should take place but the sorry MLB decided to make an example out of us since no one in the rest of America cares about Houston other than Houstonians. The Yankees, the Red Sox, and the Dodgers have all cheated too at various times in history and you don't see the MLB making an example out of them. All good though because what can all of those A$$Clowns say now? We are the WS champs...again!!! With that said the MLB organization, other teams, players, sports media personalities, and fans who hate us can all kiss our A$$tros. You hate us cause you ain't us. We are the 2022 World Series Champions.
I very much appreciate you compiling a video of BOTH the opponents and the Astros big moments that led to scoring and lead changes. This, as well as the dramatic soundtrack, really adds to the drama of such a magical postseason ride! Any true baseball fan and Astros fan could tell you that most of these games could have gone either way. This is the best video of the Astros 2022 postseason I have found so far. I only wish it featured more from the Astros broadcasters Kevin Eschenfelder and Geoff Blum because they are fantastic. But this ROCKS! Thank you!
TK and Blummer don't get to do any broadcasts during the postseason, sadly. Only our radio broadcasters Ford and Sparks do. But it would be amazing if I had TK and Blummer.
So proud! I came from Brazil in 2013, knowing NOTHING about baseball, today, in 2016, I decided to learn about it, rules, teams etc, and since I am living in Houston, the Astros was the team selected. Almost a decade later, I can say tha baseball became my favorite sport.
Glad to have you in Houston! Baseball is a slow game. It's not for everybody, but once the playoffs start, every pitch matters so much more. It gets exciting. It's a Human chessboard. Been a fan since the 70's. Nice to have a winning franchise in Houston.
@@alexvanroth175 When the Texans are a disaster and the Rockets feel like they're in eternal rebuild, the Astros must seem like an Oasis. I've moved out of the state since, the last I saw an Astros game? Biggio and Bagwell were playing. They were the first MLB team I saw with some form of cognizance, so they became my team. Here's hoping the Roughnecks do well this year.
Its like how the warriors are a dynasty and the chiefs are a dynasty it is amazing to say we are a dynasty living in houston never thought I would ever have a chance to be able to say that about one of our houston sports team I love h town let’s keep running it back
