I created my Quixel.ms file. python.Execute "filePath = u'D:\\MEGASCANS LIBRARY\\support\\plugins\\max\\5.5\\MSLiveLink\\MS_API.py'; exec(open(filePath).read(), {'__file__': filePath})" But when I start 3DSMax 2024, i get a Runtime error. Please help me solve this issue.
Anyone who gets a script error: You have to change the path in the script. Check where is the downloaded folder of Megascans on your hard drive and copy the address (pay attention all the slashes should ''/'' and not ''\'').
Автору данного метода огромнейшая благодарность🤌 P/S Рекомендация для тех у кого не получается. "Правильно прописывайте путь к папке /RequestLibrary/" и метод от @guiarno тоже действующий.
That is awesome. Thanks for sharing! I had to do a little tweak on the script for it to work. Basically changed the \ for / and replaced the "n" for "r". python.Execute "filePath = r'C:/Users/ULTRAPC/Documents/Megascans Library/support/plugins/max/5.5/MSLiveLink/MS_API.py'; exec(open(filePath).read(), {'file': filePath})" Hope this helps!
Hello! I got an error message when opening max-- Rzuntime error: Parsing Error Syntax error: (unicode error) 'unicodeescape' codec can't decode bytes in position 2-3:turncated can you help me out?
@@thomaswhitehouse8406 it's the path of your Megascan Library directory, i had the same error but now it's ok (my directory : L:\Megascans\support\plugins/max/5.5/MSLiveLink/MS_API.py)
@@thomaswhitehouse8406 try changing the bars \ to / (or vice-versa). Also, try this variation (as this is in the official Quixel page): python.Execute @"filePath = u'D:/personal_folder/MEGASCAN/support/plugins/max/5.5/MSLiveLink/MS_API.py'; exec (open(filePath).read(), {'__file__': filePath})" something will work
hi bro, i get a message "type error : Call needs function or class, got : undefine" when i open 3DS max after doing what you sayed. Can you help me ? Thank you.
@th_virtuoso_art1545 hey i have a question can i just copy python.Execute "filePath = u'C:/Users/ULTRAPC/Documents/Megascans Library/support/plugins/max/5.5/MSLiveLink/MS_API.py'; exec(open(filePath).read(), {'__file__': filePath})" this script.
Steps: 1-downlad and install bridge Choose 3dsmax as your export target let it install. 2-close Bridge and 3ds max go to 'C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2024 - 64bit\ENU\scripts\startup' 3-create a text document paste the following script in it python.Execute "filePath = u'C:/Users/ULTRAPC/Documents/Megascans Library/support/plugins/max/5.5/MSLiveLink/MS_API.py'; exec(open(filePath).read(), {'__file__': filePath})" then save it as .ms file 4-open 3dsmax you should have megascans at your menu if not go to customize > customize user interface and you 'll find it there drag and drop it . 5-while 3dsmax is open go to bridge download the model press export and you'll find it in 3dsmax . enjoy ^^ if there is any related issues I'm available
