I had a 1990 190E and it was by far the worst MB I have ever owned. There were constant problems especially the AC going out on multiple occasions. There was a definite reason MB stopped making these and replaced with the C Class.
Dude....they are over 30 years old. Name 4 other30 yr old cars where the AC works without fault. MB stopped making them after a production run of 10 years! again....name 4 other cars from the 80s/90s that stayed in production for 10 frigging years! MB replaced it with the C class because the 190 was designed before you were born. There is almost nothing wrong with the 190e in terms of design and quality. They are old cars now andgive issues any old car can but there arent many 30 plus year old cars still on the road.
No the 190e is an extremely reliable and well built car . Chances are you got something that wasn't serviced properly and neglected. I own a 1991 2.0 auto Sport line edition, and can testify to the top notch build quality. These cars are legendary with many still on the road today. Pretty amazing considering so many other brands got recycled into toasters and paperclips long ago.
@@peterarsenault2671 - I bought it brand new from a MB dealer and only had it serviced at the same MB dealer when the car was to be serviced. I took very good care of that car. It was my first Mercedes and I was thrilled to have it until the problems continued to come up. My sister’s navy blue 89 190E and my mother’s good friend who had a “91 white 190E had the same continual AC problems. I’m happy your’s was a great car. I was just commenting on how horrible of a car it was for me, my sister and my mother’s friend. I didn’t know anyone else that had one. The three of us did not keep them long.
Who is running a 1984 Beatle and where are they doing this. Obviously it in the USA because VW replaced for Ed the Beatle with the front wheel drive water cooled Rabbit in 1974
Hate to say this but there is no such car as a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 1, it's a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow - period. The subsequent car is the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 11 as this car was not envisaged or thought of commercially until around 19176 or so. Still, even with the air scoop under the front bumper bar, it IS still a beautiful car (but it's better without it, though). MANY thanks for sharing, all the very best and take care.
Beautiful old daimler. I own a 94 xj40S these xj40s are starting to get thin on the ground nowadays. Price,s are starting to rise. Good luck with the car.
That boot looks like it's done 60,000 miles,,, should still have the original brakes front and back... The jack looks like it's done space Trek milage...
