The DoD approving Robs book has nothing to do with the authenticity of his claims. All it means is that they determined there wasn't anything deemed top secret/SCI or a potential threat to ongoing operations. Matt Bissonette, aka "Mark Owen," got sued over not getting his book cleared before he released it. Again, it had nothing to do with the authenticity of the book. Matt Coles investigation pretty much proved the Rob was A shooter of Bin Laden, but not THE shooter.
