Dude i just cant do it, the more resources i invest in my army the less i have to defend my base and get mowed down, and forget doing it in under 15 minutes, that ship has sailed
How to recreate this outcome : Killing the demon isn't difficult due to its pattern but the lack of damage early on making the fighting long and making mistakes in between. It has 813 hp and each fist deals 2 damage. So you need 407 hits without getting hit more than 3 times. As you can see the demon has 4 noticeable patterns: 1) close range sweeping motion 2) long-range sweeping motion 3) flying attack 4) close-mid range hammering down 5) long-range hammering down (1) is what you want the most, you can hit 2 times - up to 3 times if you dodge back. I suggest 2 times only because if the next attack is (4) you will get hit because your dodge distance is still within the demon's attack range. Check 13:03 where I still take damage after I dodge because I didn't get my distance right. (3) you can actually hit 4 times if you have full stamina to dodge after but I suggest 3 instead for the aforementioned reason. Try not to overemphasis hitting the monster the maximum number of times per its move but focus more on your timing of the attack and how much stamina you have. One single mistake will cost you a lot more time because you have to do the entire run again. In the video, you can see me doing 1 hit as well when I feel that I need to recharge my stamina or my timing getting close to the monster was a bit off. After the demon does (1) a few times it will stop and think what it wants to do next. We want to avoid (2), (5) long-range attacks as much as possible because they are the most difficult to dodge and punishes any mistakes you make in between. When the demon stops and thinks we do not want to go too far away from the demon because then it will initiate the long-range attacks. So keep medium range so that the demon can choose either (1), (3) or (4). Dodging against a long sweeping motion is more difficult and you got to time it right and in the correct direction. (You can see me making a mistake at 05:01 where I dodged too late.) And you MUST check whether the monster has any follow up long-range attack and prepare well in advance. 18:20 is a good example of where it was done right. The demon's strong attack is really damaging early on and you really shouldn't get hit properly as it drains more than 80% of your full hp. By the way, I tried another strategy of attacking the demon's back but I find my current approach works more reliably. While you can land more hits, dodging enemy's rotation sweep motion after is much more unforgiving. You can see me in the video that whenever I catch the demon's back after its long-range motion, I move to the demon's front ASAP even without hitting it to prevent demon's attack like that. Finally, the camera works a bit different from its original PTD version. As you can see video every time I hit the demon with my right fist it slightly rotates to the right and forcing me to constantly re-readjust the camera. It's a bit annoying and makes the evading attack more difficult IMO. I haven't got far with the original PTD as well, I got up to SL 13 before I deleted my char so all is still new more me. I will add more videos later if I find enjoyable opponents like this one later. Hope it helps!
Nicely done, if you would have done the last part of the bonus objectives would have been perfect. I've manage to deal with the bonus objectives too. It can be done, once you get used to the mission, it becomes a lot easier. I've manage to do it without saving at all. :) prntscr.com/neug4d
Thank you for posting the best (only?) Brutal difficulty run for this achievement. I used your run as reference for timings. Had to fully wall-in with gateways and static defense, which held up until near the end. Reloaded so many times on the rush to the last power cell, but finally managed to finish with only 10 seconds left. Couldn't have done it without this video!
#$%k this map and the designer of the brutal difficult in the @$$hole with a big aids-infested rubber @#$k without lubrication!! No matter what strategy I tried from damn nearly every youtuber who has posted a video of this map on brutal be it a speed run or army steam roll..NOTHING works!! -_-

Hello, I would like to do like you with HD140 but I can not do it without lighting up I would like to know if it is possible to have the same program for my Arduino and know the connection.
Meanwhile I have to move my army back to base to fend off the attacks, really slows me down. I'll try and change my style to this, but my micro is so much worse
Wait, just to double check, you can get this achievement on normal, no? So take your time, finish the mission on brutal so you can get your portrait, then go back and redo this mission on normal in under 15 minutes for additional achievement points. Is there any point to getting under 15 minutes in BRUTAL mode, except bragging rights?
+atsay714 You can do most achievements like this on normal difficulty. This is for those who find normal difficulty too easy. It is also rather satisfying to see all your archieves only having brutal time records too. My record does not have any other records because I started my very first playthrough on brutal difficulty.
I now have over 120 saves on this mission from all the restarts and checkpoints and attempts, and still can't replicate what you did here. The main thing that trips me up is the massive zergling + baneling attack at 10 minutes. I can't seem to both keep pressing my attack and successfully defend against that one simultaneously. I tried building the same defenses you did at the southern entrance and they just bypass my base and destroy the cyber core and free gateway west of there, slowing me down too much. If I pull back my offensive force, I'm slowed down even more. Best I can do is be just finally clearing the fourth out of five conduits with my last few remaining units at 15 minutes. I'm too proud to move forward without clearing all achievements on brutal, but I'm not even having fun anymore, so I may just say as far as my universe goes, canon is Amon kills Artanis on Aiur and wins forever. :(
+Xiuhtec That's a lot of try. I have two videos on this mission which deals these zergling attacks. One thing to make sure is to block the entrance completely. If those force kills core on the west, just build all of them in your main base. Then you would only lose one free gate. I built those there in case it runs over but that my main base actually held long enough.
How are you able to blink individual stalkers to the back? Srsly, i always blink a selection of them or the whole back and I can't seem to be that precise if you're using solely your mouse.
+Ryan Kim Besides the advice to practice the other people gave, you may also consider getting a better mouse and mousepad that maximizes your mouse and adjusting mouse resolution till you get something more accurate than your current setup. Increasing or decreasing screen resolution may also help you. Finally, try to be about less than 24 years old, as that maximizes your twitch capabilities. At 24 you start to slow down as far as SC skills are concerned.
Are we positive that it requires destroying the two bases as well? In all of SC2 campaigns it was always possible to get all the achievements at the same time on Brutal, but I really don't see a way to clear the map in less than 15 minutes. Which leads me to believe that it might only count the structres not in the two enemy bases.

Hey Seol! Great vid, I managed to do the same as you. But can I ask if you did the mastery achievement on brutal? The best I can managed was to take out everything except the last power cell with the hybrids, some structures were still there when I got wiped out. And yes I took both expansion from the fallen bases of the enemies. Thanks!

There's a problem, which is resources. I hit 200 supplies without any great loss of unit, but after wiping out a base, I realized I need to expand in order to have enough stuff to warp in more stalkers. And the non stop force coming from off-map drain my resources so badly that I don't have enough to clear everything else out. Can you try making a vid guide? Thanks a lot!

+seol1500 Managed to do it today with 3 seconds to spare. Took me about 20 tries. On the other hand I don't see a way to do the mastery achievement in the same run, unless it doesn't count the bases or something. Otherwise congratulations on a great run.
