Hi....great informative videos.....keep it up! Question.....we've got two small pups around 10 lbs. each. I like the Spot On product but sounds like the smallest collar would be for a 15 lb dog. Is there another good quality product for small dogs? Thanks
Unfortunately I can’t say there’s a super solid product for smaller dogs at this time. Probably has to do with the size of the gear that has to go into the collar. It’s a bit larger than you might imagine until you hold it in your hands. Let me know if you find anything. Thanks for watching!
@@ThePamperedPup ok thanks. Going with the PetSafe Classic In-ground Fence. Collar is smaller and good for dogs 5 lbs and up. I find that all the GPS collars are so bulky and probably too much for smaller dogs. Thought about the Stay and Play wireless but the circular pattern doesn't work for our situation. I need to cover more of a rectangular area and the wire will let me do that. Renting a lawn edge cutter...going down about 2 inches as recommended. Setup shouldn't be too bad. Great reviews for the product. Thanks for the quick reply!
Can two different phones have the same collar on their apps. For instance if I'm away from my dog and my wife needs to use the app would she be able to use the app to see to see where our dog is if he escaped?
Do you have to connect to it with your phone to reenable the fence and change to static correction? Every time I charge mine, it disables itself and defaults to vibration.
I took my recomendation request away as soon as I saw you testing the collar on yourself. The fact that you are so against the shock part which isn't bad and some animals are stubborn to that point and you looking like you were about to cry before it even shocked you means look for opinion elsewhere
I'm new to your channel. I'm not sure why RU-vid recommended you to me (I don't have a dog) but I was curious about something: How does the dog know what the shock means? It sounds like it's not dangerous, since it ends after 10 seconds, but I'm just curious as to how the dog would know that the shock is because it passed some boundary.
I would’ve been more impressed if you’d actually eaten the farmer’s dog chicken recipe. It smells bad and looks worse. I’ve switched my dog to nomnom at least it doesn’t smell bad.
You compare nomnom chicken and farmers dog turkey. That comparing apples and oranges. You need to compare chicken from nomnom and chicken from farmers dog. Even though farmers dog chicken stinks and looks bad. I know this because I’ve been feeding it to my dog for 18 months. Pretty sure that’s why you chose the turkey 😁
@@wildchild2233 Gotcha! Yep, you're correct. Although, it wasn't malicious - our box had came with three recipes (turkey, beef, pork if I remember correctly), so we just made the closest comparison with what we had.
These all use apps that connect to WiFi? Because that’ll be useless for me since I live in the mountains where satellite systems are not reliable and we have lots of blackouts specially in winter when I’ll need it most because of snow accumulation which makes it easier for them to jump out of the existing fence.
Thank you for this. I have Fi and am considering switching due to frequent offline errors recently. I'm not sure what's going on with the company but am doing my research to see if there's anything else out there at that price point and functioning. I guess I need to save up or continue searching. Video very helpful!
You forgot the HUGE negative that spoton is $999 for EACH dog, requires being attached to your phone plan, there is only $100 discount if you are buying for multiple dogs. So it still has a starting cost of almost $2k for 2 dogs!?!?! They also try to push subscriptions heavily. The fact that you all failed to point out these very costly differences leads me to believe your reviews are biased. So, I will not be watching your videos further.
Just don’t have thousands of dollars to take my dog to the vet anymore. :( He received the best of care his entire life, and I’ll just let him go on his own terms. 😢
Try garlic, honey, and olive leaf extract if it’s anything other then pancreatitis my dog had yellow poop for 2 days but stopped after I started supplementing those
