what a remarkable moment in time. it's so charming to see them at this stage, knowing all the growth that follows. Also, I'll never be able to listen to Powder Blue again without hearing "reggaejunkiejew" during the verse.
Just took my son to the hampton ballroom casino For his first Ween show He's hooked and he said I need more Ween and I sent him this video it get no better than this 🤎
I was picked up in places like this and everyone was gone in the morning but their jewelry and underpants and sneaker insoles were left lying around my house. I had a terrible hangover…
i love the alternate version of what deaner was talkin about. its a completely different chord progression in the way of vocals, but it still fits really well
here’s a couple of tidbits for all you Ween completionists out there : this vid was shot at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick NJ - where the house sound man was Kirk Miller and who became Ween’s long time live sound guy - (I was sound guy for the Court for years whenever Kirk would be out on tour with Ween) … both Dave D and Claude Cjr were a big part of the New Brunswick music scene in the late 80s and early 90s before joining Ween - I first met Claude at this very club when he was the bass player(!) for a local band called Wooden Soldiers (‘87,’88?) and I first met Dave in ‘86 when he was a student at Mason Gross school of the arts at Rutgers - he was in an awesome psych/prog band at that time called Tiny Lights … also , if you didn’t know , Buckingham Green is the name of a small outdoor shopping plaza (strip mall) in Buckingham , Pennsylvania , a town or two over from New Hope …
