I loved your video very helpful. Can I put my Mica color in the beads just like you did. I put my scent in the jar to sock up the oil first.
@thequiltedpaisley
@thequiltedpaisley Год назад
Thank you! When I used to soak my own beads I would let them soak up the oil and be completely dry and then cure for about 7-10 days before coloring and baking them.

So you don't let the beads soak up the scent for a few weeks before baking them?
@thequiltedpaisley
@thequiltedpaisley Год назад
I buy my beads already scented so I don’t have to do that! When I used to scent my own beads it would take about 24 hours for them to soak all the oil up and then I would let them cure for 10 days before using them.

beautiful work! I use to use an iron for those spiky parts as I have arthritis and after a while it really starts to hurt my hands. However, now I try to remember to go around all the edges when they are warm from the oven with the back of a small spoon..your glitter/tool you used would work too. Go around all the edges, I even pull the mold away just a bit on tight corners away, or point parts of a mold, like a unicorn horn etc. Just pull the mold itself outwards, just a bit to get the spoon tip in there and push all those spikes down while they are still hot. They mush right down , you dont get any spikes or jagged uneven edges hardly! Because they are still hot, it doesnt even show! It doesnt give that smooshed down edges or anything like the iron at times would do. Just all even and flat. Game changer! I look forward to what you create next/ty for sharing!

Great tutorial will have to check out that paint and the silicone brushes ..great idea! I have switched to little eye hooks that screw right in to the top of my freshies instead of making a hole. its so much easier and they screw in by hand no pliers even needed. and thats after they have been baked n cooled. Got a whole bag of the little eye hooks for under 5.00 on Amazon. Your freshie is beautiful and I bet that sells well!

@thequiltedpaisley Год назад
@@danielle5113 no, I’ve never had a ventie melt. Sometimes in the summer freshies can get a little distorted from being kept in direct sunlight if it’s hot enough outside though! Keep in mind you put them in the oven at 340* to melt them, your car heater does not get that hot

What information is on the warning label that you put on the back? Thanks, great video!
@thequiltedpaisley
@thequiltedpaisley Год назад
Thank you! I have a couple variations of warning labels but they all mostly say the following: ALWAYS HANG KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN DO NOT PLACE ON SURFACES OR IN VISORS MAY STAIN OR CAUSE DAMAGE DO NOT LEAVE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT COULD MELT IN EXTREME HEAT *NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES*

@thequiltedpaisley
@thequiltedpaisley Год назад
345* for about 10-12 minutes. If they aren’t done you can do 1-2 minutes extra at a time!
