There’s something about this particular song by David Bowie, sad as the lyrics may seem yet they resonate with me now more than they ever did. It’s a beautiful piece that whenever I hear it sung transports my thoughts back the an era that once was and has long gone, leaving just memories for those of us who grew up in the 70s, enjoying these songs when they were first released. Timeless classics. RIP star man.

Spine tingles, chills, tears and fond, fond memories. I was lucky enough to be present at 3 Bowie shows in Melbourne, Australia over the years and each one was superb. Bowie’s contribution to music is phenomenal and at 67 I am still listening to his music. ❤️

You know the sad thing is he died of liver issues, in his 60's RIP DB but the liver is the only organ that can completely regenerate, if only he regenerated it stayed away from substance and alcohol he would still be alive today to star in the sequel to Labyrinth. :(
There are no words. Bowie had a huge effect on my life. I saw him once. But his brilliance inspired many aspects of my life. I play many of his songs on guitar. Such creativity, courage, dignity. I don't think there are any parallels as far is being influential. I told my daughter, there are so many artists that would simply never have been, if not for Bowie.
