I went out to dinner with him and he was really a gentleman. He had a beautiful sky high condo in century City. He brought me there, and did not get fresh or try to make a move on me, instead, he played his baby grand piano for me. What an elegant person. I am sorry to hear of his passing, and I pray for protection on his soul.
Great interview.. couldve done without the "nail coming out of the wall" and "Ben, don't go on another tangent" comments but partially playful.. Jeez what a fantastic guy Ben Mondor was.. never met him but he's surely missed.
Chris Chambliss wasn't very thrilled by the line of questioning but I liked his answers ... love these videos .. nice to reminisce about the good ol' days bc that's all we got
Sergei Khrushchev was a Bolshevik like his father. In one of the interviews he tried to convince the Americans that his father was the first to apply perestroika. He forgot to add that his father was as much a genocide as Stalin. For me, he was a painted communist who, after the collapse of the Soviet evil empire, was the first to leave the Soviet Union. Why didn't he do it sooner?
As a child I always wondered why she had all of her skin covered up and she wore those wigs and now I know why she was passing as a white woman when really she was half black and that was unacceptable in those days so she the only way for Success was for her to pretend she was a white woman I find that fascinating and sad I'm so glad that times are not like that anymore people can be proud of their beautiful melanated skin
I saw him at Fenway on June 8th…he was amazing! Live performances are always challenging for a vocalist, especially 2 1/2 hours non-stop, two nights in a row…he surpassed my expectations. Greatest concert of my life.
I'm a bit worried about his Glastonbury headline. Paul is a genius and made beautiful music throughout most of my 64 years. One of the greatest musicians. But his great voice has gone, and that's rather hard to hide.
We saw him 4 weeks ago at SoFi in LA. Yes his voice is very thin and I'm pretty sure nobody cared. Absolutely fantastic show. But I can't see him touring again after this one
@@newms69 Yeh, I'm not criticising and the effects of age are inevitable. It wouldn'tstop me going to see him again. His energy and work ethic are mighty impressive. I just want folks to see this treasured man at his best.
That's ok Chris. U are watching an icon playing iconic music , mabby for the last time. Enjoy! I am. I'm about 12 years younger than Paul. McCartney an I'm also a mussian that was impaired by the Beatles . They inspired many people an did a lot for music . They where brilliant with the songs they wrote. No body will ever be able to duplicate that brilliance for so many years that they wrote songs. I still have a nice voice at 68 ,and good showmanship . But not as good as a guitar player as Paul m. But if I made it to 80.i doubt if I would sound as good as him . I think it's interesting to know, that one reason he sounds as good as he does is that he , thu our his song career , he was one of the few male singers that can easialy hit 4 octives in one song. And he did that often . That's very rare for any singer , let alone a male singer.
Mr. Cole seemed to be an affable man who was sadly tortured by some pretty evil demons. His alcoholism may have killed him, even though after the tragic loss of his son, Joe, he was already dead.
No need to say nasty things about this highly intelligent, extremely knowledgeable, kind and gentleman, Full respect to the interviewer Russ who knew he was speaking to great
@@jamesbradshaw3389 The guy married a 17 year old when he was 41. Then when she realizes it was a mistake, she starts seeing other guys. Shocker, huh? But instead of letting her go, he punches her. So she has his daughter. Do you think he supported his own daughter? Nope. Lets talk about his talent. Well, he can play a ukelele and sing falsetto. Wow. One of a kind. Did you think it was his talent that got him where he is? Of course. Laugh-in recruits people for theyre talent. Not because theyre funny. Get real.
This is the first interview I’ve ever seen with someone not making a joke out of the guy, and I first saw a tiny Tim on TV probably 55 years ago or more
