Can you please do a 6 year update with the app you’ve been using for 6 years and do a “what I learned from tracking my wardrobe” also if you can talk about your cost per wear and takeaways from using it for so long. Love your app review videos and 7 day challenges!

Great video I loved it! My style uniform for work are slacks and a blouse with platform heels, necklace n earrings. For casual summer shorts, tshirt n sneakers. Can you do another updated video like this please

I'm just a dude trying to catalog his closet and seeing what apps there are out there. I am debating between Indyx and Whering. Your review really is comprehensive and helpful. I'm still seeing which will be the best choice as the two apps are rather competitive with one another. Thanks alot with being involved with my decision making process.
@@lighterpack thanks so much for your comment. I’m in the process of doing Indyx next. Its main selling point I feel is the ability to hire stylists to make outfits with your own clothes. Is that something you’re interested in? It doesn’t have the AI capabilities that Whering has and for the moment its interface isn’t quite as user friendly but it depends on what you prioritise in an app.

@@jaimiepearce2001 thanks so much for commenting! I’m certainly open to doing more thrift store videos but it didn’t get a lot of views so wasn’t sure if it was something people actually wanted. Was it helpful? Did it have too much information?
@@stylewithingrace I definitely thought it was helpful. I live near Northlakes and actually didn’t know that a lot of those thrift stores were there. I’m really into thrift Ing items instead of buying things brand-new. Hopefully eventually you might get an audience for it but I can understand you not wanting to do videos if it doesn’t get a lot of views.
@@jaimiepearce2001 yes there are a lot of really great thrift stores around north lakes and kallangur as well. Heaps in your area. Thrifting is a great alternative to buying new! Way better than fast fashion!

@@stylewithingrace my pleasure! I would need to be at a stage in my life where I needed to allocate more money to clothes than I do right now to make it worth it but if that is the case in the future - if I have many events etc. to attend, it would be worth the $ and giving it a proper go.
The more reviews I see of Threadicated, the more i think it's a waste of $79. That stylist didn't really take into account your helpful and specific requests, or colour palette. Given how easy it is to shop online from stores these days, what is the stylist adding (besides a non refundable $79 price tag)? It's certainly better now you can have up to 10 items now, because you increase your chance of getting an item you like... but i still think it's better to shop the online sales, take some chances now and then by ordering a different style, and become proactive with returns for things that don't fit/suit (which is where most of us lose our money).
@@hummingbirdchen yea I can see where you are coming from. A good stylist is suppose to be saving you time by not having to look through all the choices yourself. She should also know (in theory at least it’s hard to get this right without actually meeting the person) what is going to suit you best shape, colour and style wise so that returns are less likely. And yes should also be able to introduce things to you that you wouldn’t necessarily have picked yourself and expand and challenge your style. When you find someone who can do all these things successfully for you then it’s worth it. On personalised style boxes like this where you never actually meet your stylist I don’t feel the same level of personal touch or investment as an “in personal” stylist. It’s easy for you not to be seen as an individual person with unique likes and dislikes and instead are seen as a task they just need to get finished. That’s my view at least. If you feel you are perfectly capable at finding the right clothing for yourself, don’t mind spending the time and are able to challenge your style occasionally then by all means skip Threadicated.

Not within Whering unfortunately. The only way you can edit a photo is to request them to redo the background removal. You can edit the photo in a different app and then replace the photo though.
@@stylewithingrace yes, I paid for it because I have more than 100 items, but I felt it was worth it. I use it every day. Also, I might eventually remove jewellery or other accessories from my wardrobe to pair back to 100 items. But, for now, I'm not worried about that. I love using the app when thinking about adding a new piece and seeing what outfit combos the app comes up with for it. If there are 5+ outfits I would realistically wear, I consider adding it and put it in a closet I call Wishlist. If it doesn't integrate well, and I wouldn't wear the outfits it comes up with, or I can see it only goes well with a specific colour/silhouette that is quite limited, then I pass on the item, delete it from the wardrobe, and have no regrets passing on the item. I've even done this while shopping in a store because I can check so quickly.
@@stylewithingrace are you still using the app? If so, what is your username so I can add you to people I follow. It's so fun getting a little community of style queens and asking them for advice on an outfit when planning ahead for an event or trip, etc.

All good. Hard to say how long it takes to add entire wardrobe to each app as I don’t do it all at once. I start with a bit of a chunk but then add things as I wear them each day. In Whering you can go to the styling section for a piece of clothing and it will generate 3 ai suggestions with that pieces of clothing. Then if you press the hamburger menu it will style 3 more. You can also press style in dress me and it will pin that piece of clothing and you can shuffle through the rest of your clothes.
@@stylewithingrace thanks! do you know, for any app, if in the outfit suggestions, u can click on part of the item to either zoom in or get more info about the item, because a lot of the time (or maybe i hv too much similar clothing), i cant tell what the items is in the outfit, if that makes sense
@@zaizeleiful well if you were editing the outfit suggestion you could make the piece of clothing big to figure out which piece it was. If you have saved an outfit in Stylebook you can see which pieces are in the outfit when you go into details. In Whering if you have saved an outfit you can see the pieces used in it down the bottom and you can click on them to see which piece it is. Does that make sense?
@@stylewithingrace i think so but like for whering in dressme, i can click on the skirt but sometimes i feel like i still need to make the image even bigger to differentiate it

Hi. I'm Korean and going to visit Austrailia for learning English. In this time, i go to Austraila with travel visa, but i will transform my nurse license from Korean to Austrailian. Before Working Holiday, i visit Austraila to travel and adopt! I am going to stay near the Brisbane city area (CBD) near the CityHall. Speaking of which, i want to know about thrift shop in West End. In google map, i find some thrift shop near the CBD, there are some thrift shop in West End, e.g. Yesterday Thrift, SWOP Brisbane, Serendipity Op Shop. i want to watch videos that introduction for these shops. @@stylewithingrace Thanks for your reply. From May 26th to August. About 10 weeks in Australia. Korea has a four seasons and is in North hemisphere, so i dont know what clothes i take there. So my very first adaption period, i go to OP shop and going to buy some clothes and utensils. And i love books, so i want to search for treasure like books! IoI
@@user-yw6ni5bb1g well you’ll be here in our winter which is probably mild compared to what you’re used to. You’ll just need some long pants or warmer stockings with skirts and some jumpers/sweaters or jackets. Thrift stores are great for outerwear and books!

Is it possible to edit an outfit after saving it? I can't figure out how to do it. I have some outfits saved and I want to change one of the pieces without having to delete everything and do it again.

Great video, but I purchased an annual subscription of the Pureple app and it only worked about 1 week on my phone. The app is very problematic every time I click style me app automatically closes and the company is not responding. If the app worked right it would get an A+ .
Oh how frustrating! Yes I’m not surprised it’s buggy sadly as I have found that too. I stopped using it a year or so ago now. I highly recommend checking out Whering. It’s very similar but free atm and not buggy. I have another video about it on my channel if you’re interested.
And just like that Acloset ihas a subscription fee. Free version only goes up to 100 items in your closet. Basic is $5.99 a month for 300 items, premium $14.99 a month for 1000 items or expert for $39.99 a month for unlimited clothes. I haven’t even got all my clothes in there and I’d already be on the premium. What a pity. Check out my Whering review if you’re now in the market for a new free closet app.
Whering has had another update and had a bit of a rebrand in the process adding some Gen Z green to the pastel purple mix. The main new feature I can see is that you can now add an ootd photo to the calendar. The whole app is a little more colourful now too. What do you guys think?
Sadly it’s looking like Acloset is introducing ads and becoming a paid subscription app in the near future. There will be a free version but you can only have limited number of items in your closet.
Yes I just heard that too. Such a pity for Acloset. There is no news of Whering going paid at this stage but I think it’s probably likely in the future unfortunately. They get you in and hooked while they are fine tuning the app and figuring out the bugs and then they want to make money of course.

They have all had their good parts and not so great bits. Whering and Acloset are kind of neck and neck for me. They are both excellent for the AI generated outfits. Although I do still love Stylebooks UI and style stats and just ease of use.

I am assuming you’re talking about Stylebook? I believe if you have the same Apple ID you could download again without paying no problem as it’s attached to your Apple ID rather than your cell phone. Also you can backup your iPhone on iTunes and transfer all the data you had in that way. I’ve had 3 phone since downloading Stylebook and have just did the back up to transfer my phone data from one phone to another.
A new update just came through tonight and you can now add singular items to the calendar yay! There doesn’t appear to be a way to filter by category when you are doing this though and I had to rely on the search bar which is a little tricky.
