This channel reads actual 1800s newspapers with photos and video clips to enhance the articles. Step back in time to western towns to experience the daily life of the townspeople.
Thank you for the awesome video! I love seeing how people lived in that age:) It was a simpler time, which our current modern society desperately needs.
I’m from Walla Walla, WA and started making my videos from this old Walla Walla newspaper. The newspaper stories were so fun, I just had to share. Thanks for watching and commenting!
My grandpa Richard Walker Call was in the Calvary when they still rode horses & United Methodist circuit rider preacher. His big black tombstone has bronze medal with preacher on horse holding bible.
haha. umm.. I am breathing. I put that because two people thought I was an AI voice. With all the grammatical errors I make, they thought a computer messed up. Thanks for commenting. I enjoyed your comment. Have a great day😊
There is an interesting Wikipedia article covering the history of the ship Lyman D. Foster, including the murder that took place on it. See the Wirings section of the front page (time stamp 0:43).
Wow! That was quite a story about the cook. In that Wikipedia article it said there were two versions of the story. One more sensational than the other. One said the cook went overboard committing suicide and one were he was caught and went to trial. It would be nice to know which really happened. sometimes my old newspapers have a story that has clearly been embellished for effect. One of them had a cow 5hat ate several sticks of dynamite, walked behind a hill and blew up.
Thanks for the idea. I will have to research it first. I did an art Nouveau on my other RU-vid channel “ Life In The 1900s Newspapers” For a 1920s newspaper. I knew Art Nouveau was before the twenties, but I didn’t realize it was 1890s!
"The young Princesses of Wales take a great interest in the poultry yard." That's a sentence I didn't think I'd hear today! Somehow I never thought of Sandringham House, a royal residence, having a poultry yard either. I just discovered your channel, and I'm going back and watch more of your videos.
Thanks for watching my videos. I tried to find a photo of Sandringham’s chicken or farm area but there must not be one anymore. Thank you so much for commenting also. I appreciate it.
