Naw. Thank you so much for this video. I am very sorry for your loss but then again everything happens for a reason. Let’s keep spreading love! Thanks again.
South and southeast Asian dances (looks Indian, Thai, Indonesian) connecting lights... finally culminating to our Pandango sa Ilaw. I love how this showed an evolution of light dances from main Asia to Oceania to our unique Ilaw dance. When the Rondalla came on, my skin crawled with pride.
+Ms Bird Those Filipinos abroad dancing folk dances with trashy pop music in the background are doing a poor job on preserving them (they actually claim they are "preserving" tradition by dancing them with trashy modern music, the nerve of them!).
Ms Bird I don’t know if you can claim authenticity on these pieces. Folk-based, yes. Cultural, yes. Authentic, ummm... let’s just say the Bayanihan is best known for theatricalizing and interpreting authentic dances from the field. They are a marvel and a joy to watch by I would use authentic to describe what their pieces.
it was my ultimate dream to be a member of the Philippine bayanihan dance group but my mom was against it. i will always be a big fan of these performing artists. proud of you guys proud to be filipinos☺☺☺
+Irwin Ingan El Cani is part of Bayanihan's Spanish era-influenced segment in their 2010 US Tour. I don't have any video but you can refer to Bayanihan's Facebook page facebook.com/pages/Bayanihan-The-National-Dance-Company-of-the-Philippines/124862755974?sk=timeline . You can also watch Pasinaya 2015 Bayanihan video which contains Spanish era-influenced dances. Here's the link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gG7t0gX2Ago.html Per confirmation from Bayanihan Facebook admin, the last segment of the Pasinaya 2015 video is El Cani.
