Have you finished the rabbit? I have a huge pink stitch angel it stands about 25 inches I have been working on for months! When you have a lot of the same color it’s definitely difficult.
I haven’t had chance to start it yet sooo many videos to do but I’m itching to get started asap 😁 xx Omg sounds fabulous 💖 but I totally get what you mean it’s soo hard going with so much of the same colour your eyes feel like there going to pop and it’s hard to stay focused on what goes where ! I would so love to see it when it’s done 😍😍😍 xxx
Your Book Nook wobbles ☹️ ? Do you have any lolly pop sticks you could cut down or those stirrer sticks from coffee shops ? You could slim them down and glue them under one side ! Do you think that might help ? Other thing I have tried before to even things out is those little clear rubber feet that go under coasters that do a great job and are not very noticeable xxx Hope you manage to find a fix xxx 💖 xxx
@@coobyliciouscrafts is it possible that the original pieces were a bit off? Yes i have popsicle sticks but i want to know why it wobbles, fixing isnt really an issue
Yes it’s definitely possible I’m not sure how these kits are made or quality controlled, the frame pieces would only need to be a few millimetres each out and it would definitely cause a wobble when put together xxx
No ive done the sea breeze (thanks to your tutorial ) .this one is called "underwater world" made by the same manufaturer of sea breeze and firefly forest
Yes certainly I found the info on a website that was selling the Book Nook xx The batteries are LR44 s 💖 xx Would have been useful to have it in the instructions though wouldn’t it xxx
The little white pot I use is matte mod podge as it dries clear and you can’t see it xx And the stronger glue is Beacon 3 in 1 dries faster and bonds quick but it’s a bit stringy so I’m careful how much I use xxx Hope this helps xxxx
Sorry It's been so long between video's my laptop totally gave up so I had to take the plunge and get a new one, and as many of you know I am not good at technology its been eventful lol xx So please bare with me if the video isn't fabulous I tried really hard xx The new editing software was very different xxx Hope you enjoy xx
So, to cut down on tedious use of flocking (the fluffy stuff) I brushed pva on the leaf tips and put some flocking in a shallow tray a quick dab in the tray and tedious job done 😅
The traditional Red and White mushroom one ? Certainly 🤗💖 xx Just give me time to order it and create the video and we will have a cute mushroom to love 😍💖 xx
The green one with the other mushroom on top im sorry. We finally got it made but it was kind of difficult but id love to see you do it! Xoxo@coobyliciouscrafts
Okay no worries your not the first to have issues with this one xxx I’m starting filming this today xx I will do my best to get the video out as soon as I can for you 🤗💖 xxx
I do find it frustrating that some of the pieces come in a variety of sizes to those in the instructions xx I just have to think to myself that creative liberty must be allowed as I had to make some pieces fit with carefully placed glue here and there 🤭 xxx
Sometimes these things just don’t line up perfectly don’t panic as you go along you can manipulate things to compensate and hide little imperfections 🤗💖 xx Mines not perfect by any means but I love it all the same 🥰 xx If there are any major bits that don’t line up I have on other Book Nooks took a little sand paper and made pieces fit a bit better xxxx
Don’t panic there’s going to be lots of foliage and little pieces going in you won’t see that once done xx Just line things up as best you can 💖 xx Your doing great I promise these things are tricky it will look amazing in the end 🤗 xx
Are you talking about the floor ? There should be two holes in the floor shown on the bottom of page 6 xx So on the template this shows a notch on the left as we cut the grass from underneath so when turned over it creates the hole on the right on the floor xx Hope this makes sense xxx 💖 xx
What about the long term? It's hard to know which of these sealants will end up fading the most in term of glossiness in the long term or becoming sticky, or easily scratchable.
Yes it’s very tricky as there are so many factors at play too like what climate you live in and the conditions there kept in it’s almost impossible to tell how each would perform for each person x I have used the Liquitex , Decoart Clear Pour Top Coat and Dura Clear Gloss myself for projects and gifts for my children and haven’t had any problems with stickiness as yet and still look nice but they haven’t had heavy usage x The Liquitex I use for my Diamond paintings and they look nice but I have a specific way of applying that x The others for my keyrings x I haven’t found one that is totally scratch resistant so I’m still looking for my perfect Top Coat and if and when I find it I will do a video to share my experience x I have tested further top coats since this video but none that I would recommend so far x
Welcome 🤗 I’m glad you found my little channel 💖 xx The lamp lines are numbered where the lamp bulbs are fixed to the panel, so the first one starts at 1 as the first lamp bulb is positioned on the panel where as the second and third lamp line the first lamp bulb actually starts off the panel so is kind of floating so they start at number 2 where it actually needs to be attached xx If you see the diagram on the bottom of page 5 it shows the first bulb of the second lamp line suspended xx Does that make sense 💖 xx
Ciao.
UV LED's do need replacement after a while, the bulbs may not be as stong as when it was forst purchased. For sticky outter layer you can try a 'water cure' by submerging the cured but sticky piece in a glass of water and curing through the glass for an additional 60-90 seconds!
I followed your tutorial videos for this project and they were invaluable. There are a few things I would do differently, but more because the kit's manual was not that great. I would have liked to hear more of your talking through all the steps but still found the videos extremely helpful. Thank you so much :)
Thank you so much I’m so pleased you found my videos helpful xx 🤗 xx I don’t talk through all of the steps to try and please those that moan I talk too much 🤭 I do try and find a balance but I will keep this in mind and do my best in future videos ☺️💖 xx I’m super glad you made it through to the end well done for not giving up xxx Yes the manual was a little frustrating at times but I tried to follow it as closely as I could so everyone could follow along and we could make it together 🥰 xx
Oh bless you thank you so much ☺️ I’m so pleased you enjoyed my video xx I can get a little carried away 🤭 but I do enjoy myself when I try these things 💖 xx
It’s not super easy to see il give you that xx The instructions are much better than some I’ve had stitch was nearly impossible to see the pieces xx I can’t get the pieces apart unfortunately but I can order another and do a step by step video for you if you like and we can make it together if that will help 💖🤗 xx You’ll just need to bare with me while it arrives xx Is this the only one of the set you have or is there another little mushroom you want me to get to show you while I’m ordering 🥰 xx
Apologies if you mentioned previously, but what is the other pva glue brand you use? And looks like you put it in a finer tipped bottle? I have the 3-1 Beacon but find it hard to be precise with smaller items (and stringy) lol Beautiful build by the way! Just started my first book nook and it is so fun (and challenging!) to make! Wish someone would make a detailed video on tools, accessories, glues, tips & tricks to use - had to practice using an Exacto blade properly! But following your process has been fun and helpful! Hope you make more book nook videos in the future🙂
Thank you I really enjoyed making this Book Nook xx The glue I used is Mat Mod Podge and yes I used a fine point glue bottle and decanted it in as I find it much easier to control xx I like Mat as it doesn’t show up marks on my projects when I get it everywhere 🤭 xx I’m currently doing a Magic Book House I have a couple of videos up already then once I’ve done that I have a few more ready to start 🤭 xx It gets addictive 😁💖 xx
@@coobyliciouscrafts They are so addicting! Once i discovered these im thinking 'who's worth a week of time & labor to give as a gift' lol jk. I cant believe they have full-on houses too! How funny, my next one on standby is a magic library! Okay thanks for the info. Looking forward to watching them😊
I am new to this type of crafting and planning to make some keychains. I have watched a number of videos on the resin application and make it part of my plan until watching your video. Makes perfect sense when you think about it. My question is this, "if you sand the edges and coat both sides, will the resin fill in the sand grooves, providing extra grip while disappearing from view and will the resin adhere to itself from both sides giving a more secure seal?" I also watched your test video so I plan to test my resin theory and also compare it to the Dura Clear that took 1st place in your test. Like you, I want to use what will last.I really like the 3D effect that the resin gives so would love to find a way to make it work.
Welcome 🤗 x Sanding will definitely improve the surface grip and help with adhesion x A lot of people use this method and are happy with the results I cannot vouch for the consistency of results as it’s not something I use regularly so you’d need to test and test again x My reservation with this is some of my designs go close to the edge so sanding space is limited and I have weak hands so I I’d like to find an alternative that didn’t need sanding xx In theory if you get good adhesion on both sides and they have a good bond to each other you are right this has the potential to work very well x I would do some tests first but your definitely on to the right path xxx I really hope it works for you 🤗💖 xx
I have heard of this product but haven’t tried it as yet x Mainly because it is harder to get hold of here in the UK and because of this is more expensive as there are import duties etc xx Have you tried it ? If so what do you think of it ?
OMG, this is amazing. I love the finished result. I have to say that, I was cringing when you started to add baby oil to the mould to release it lol. I would have used either soapy water or alcohol to save having to do a deep clean on the mould afterwards. But if it works for you, you do what works for you. ☓
Thank you ☺️ xx Yes if I’d have had soap to hand that would have gone down a treat 🤭 xx The oil is a little work to clean up but always work fab for me so quickly with even the most difficult moulds xx
Wow ! This is gorgeous and that Resin is soooo clear. You are so talented I loved how you talk and show your design ideas throughout your video and using the machine as you go I want one of these now 😅
Thank you so much ☺️ xx Ahh that’s great to know I will keep trying new colours and variations I can’t wait to explore all the different possibilities they have soo many 💖☺️ xx
Oh no what a shame ! I’m not sure why it would have gone dull as I’ve never had this happen to me before with this varnish. I would contact the company and ask them why the application went dull and see what they suggest xx www.liquitex.com/en-row/products/mediums-liquitex-professional-mediums-gloss-varnish X Hope this helps xx Let me know how you get on xx
